I want to warn everyone about user z0nr4k on this Forum.
This guy is a cheater which uses names and feedback from reliable users to cover his plans. I was cheated and lost a NeoGeo console worth approx. 200.- Euro.

DO NOT DEAL WITH HIM IN ANY WAY !!!
He may be active in other forums and with different user-names.
The guy is from spain - here's his data for your safety.

Please repost in the feedback thread.

Not entirely sure it's ethical to post his address either, despite ripping you off.

Yes, you're right so i deleted some of the data. But as it seems that this one is quite active under different user names i don't want any more people being cheated.

Maybe i'll be lucky and get something back as i have friends in spain (actually even in Badalona) who help me much with this situation!

The guy lives in spain, not US, so I guess its ok to post his at least post his postal code..

  8. Not all the members here live in the US. A postal address is a postal address regardless of where you live in the world.

I'm not at all against completly exposing all relevant contact information for a fraud--if they want to play dirty, they should face consequences--but there should be the same treatment for all regardless of their location.

Personally i don't really care if a scammer's information is posted publicly, but with what is currently posted you can get a good idea if this guy contacts you. You could always pm Ground Zero for the full details...

  10. That's just my personal opinion, mind you, and I think some of the other mods might be inclined to disagree. I know ASSEMbler himself is pretty big on privacy.

In my opinion though, if someone has ripped me off (especially to the tune of $200!) then they no longer have any right to any sort of privacy. I'd very much want to make sure that their reputation reflects their dishonesty, and if it means posting a mailing address that maybe some other poor sucker recognizes under a different name in a different forum or something, then so be it. Again, that's just me.

I'm all for posting addresses. Why protect someone who gets their jollies by scamming nice decent people. If this guy were located near me, I'd gladly get a posse, and most likely some police, to go and give him a talking to.

This guy deserves whatever he gets.

Well, it's becasue if he wanted to sue, he could conciveably drag Assembler into court for allowing his address to be shown. Becasue it's not a public forum, it's a private one.

Name, city, and handle should be enough. I wouldn't put the guy's street address.

I though it was assumed that a website's creator isn't responsible for the content of its users' post. Or does one have to add a disclaimer for that?

Now, if the guy lives in USA, then for sure you cannot post his full, complete, address. He can sue for libel/slander. I don't know how it works if hes in Spain but I don't think Assembler would like to take the risk and then find out the hardway.

My friend administrates a fan board for QPR FC as a part-time job and he's regularly getting in legal entanglements for 'allowing' people to post slanderous comments about footballers/managers etc... and he doesn't even own the site. Although commonplace online, I don't think disclaimers have a lot of actual legal weight to them.
