    EDIT:
Spelt the name wrong, it's Warrz.

It was a cancelled game developed by Shouei, in specific a RPG with online play through netlink.
The game was showed at Winter TGS '97.

Sadly couldn't find any image (yet).
Anyone with more information is welcome.

Also bonus: Seems a remake of Dragon Quest 2 was in the making for Sega Saturn. At least that's what appeared in a list of games to be shown at Spring TGS '98.
    How reliable? Who knows ...

O lawl, it's funny how some magazines have a title's name, but how they obtained it is a different question...

(sneaky guy on phone at TGS): "Yes, I managed to take a pic, but it's very blurry and the title is hardly readable, so I'll note it down in my crappy handwriting"
(gaming magazine columnist): "Oh great, this'll be a scoop! Ok, tell me the title so we can have the article published asap."
(sneaky guy on phone at TGS): "It's called Wars or something"
(gaming magazine columnist):"Could you spell that out please?"
(sneaky guy on phone at TGS): "W.A.R.R.Z." --> (WARA²) !!

    - and this is not the first and only time I notice this kind of practice, maybe we should have a thread how some magazines tend to note down and mame some games' titles? I do realise some titles are changed during the course of production, but most of the time I just chuckle when I see a strange title popping up in a magazine when you just know it's written plain wrong ;)

Unless Shouei System is the same company as Shoeisha, and I doubt that, Wärrz is actually a title of an unreleased game for saturn and have nothing to do with Wara² Wars. A flyer has been made for Wärrz in 1997, and maybe some other references in magazine could be found.

There is a report on Warrz in Saturn Fan Vol. 18 from September 26th 1997 along with other upcoming titles like Yuna 3, Asuka 120% and so on (all releaed between October-December 1997.

    page 150-162.

Maybe you can take a look, Madroms? You probably own this issue ^_^

Warawara Wars had already been released in May 1997, it's completely unrelated to Warrz which was apparently scheduled for October 1997 or later.

Oh man, DQII is my favorite Dragon Quest game. And a remake of it on the Saturn, my favorite system? Now THAT I would've imported (if it had been released). Sigh...

Yes, there is a complete report for Wärrz: 2 full pages. Game was completed at 40% at this date. This was an online RPG (talking about 5000 players ?) with keyboard and modem compatibility. I will try to make a scan of them.

Hmm, no source that I know of.
