I was wondering if Zero Wing was released in the US. I have been on several sites that say it was only been released in Europe and Japan, but I have also been to sites that say it was released in the US as well.

:smt042 Yea, the "All your base" thing is pretty funny.

Anyway, I was wondering because I want to buy the game. I heard it was actually ok, and I want to try it out. The "All your base" thing is just a bonus. If it wasn't released in the US, I guess I could get the English version.

Yea, I checked DP, but what got me confused is that on GameFAQs, it says Zero Wing was released for the Genesis on 1/1/91 in North America.

Woo! Someone making use of my handiwork. I didn't think a more detailed description would really be necessary ;)

Yeah, it's JP/EU only, and of course only the PAL one has the goofy Japlish.
(The Euro version will happily play without a convertor on a Genesis).

I guess that means I am going to have to get the English version. How much would you say this game is worth?

    THE STORY

for the confused ones, i suggest you click on this link to find out more about Zero wing.

  13. Are you sure it wasn't released in the US? I had a friend run across it in a used gamestore, but sadly he didn't have the $10 to buy it at the time, and the next time he went back, it was gone. The place doesn't sell imports, so...

Yup, there's no known US release. I guess one possibility is that it was a Euro copy that floated down from Canada - EU games can often be found there to save printing English/French Canadian-specific copies.
In the UK it'll usually make £5-£10 on eBay.
