I was sorting some discs to start a new for sale thread and came across this one. Was this game released in the USA or just in Japan?

Only in Japan...why? Does it have a US version proto on it? :)

I found some system discs but I can't find a Saturn system. Can I figure this out by poping in into my PC? What am I looking for?

Look for the license file if there is one, it will say soj or soa, soe.
Download one of the saturn emulators.

It was a very import friendly game due to the english. I was sold in
    gamestop here in the states.

Odd choice for a port considering that Gundam didn't become mainstream in the US until after the Saturn's demise.

No file with any of those names.

I'll get a Saturn together eventually but the real question is will this disc and the system disc and a system all be in places when I can find them all at the same time!

Tekken on Saturn? That's a big no.

It won't load with the system discs. You can play the music tracks. I'm guessing it must be the Japanese version. Not sure how I ended up with a Japanese game disc but I guess it isn't the first time I ended up with one.

Well, that's not really surprising, since the disc has a very Japanese Saturn logo and the front cover has Sega written in Katakana (I was mostly kidding about it having a US proto, but anything's possible).

So what was this about? Do you have something Tekken and Saturn related?

I have a Saturn dev disc case marked Tekken. Sometime between when I got it and now the disc fell out somewhere.

I guess if it wasn't released and it isn't dumped then I'll have to check some of the discs in the same box and see if I can locate it. If it was released I wouldn't have bothered.

there is no Tekken for Saturn. The only Namco Saturn games in development were Cybersled which I have seen and Ridge Racer which I guess nobody from the general public has ever seen. It may not have even been in production, only planned.

Considering that Tekken was one of Sony's crown jewels for the Playstation it just doesn’t seem probable to me that no information of a possible appearance on the Saturn has ever leaked. Tekken was Sony's answer to Virtua Fighter after all so even the hint of something like that would have been major news at the time.

Still, It is interesting that a port of Tekken would fit the timeframe of the games Yakumo mentioned.

It would be interesting if it came on an official Saturn CD-R. Still, my guess would be someone labeled Virtua Fighter as Tekken.
