    Ebay auctions 8173004272 , 8173000752

This guy is incredible. I just ran across these auctions tonight and almost fell off of my chair. I sent this guy over $600 for that factory sealed Magical Chase game a few months ago, and didn't even hear from him for over 3 weeks. Finally, when I filed a claim with paypal, and had my credit card stop payment, he decided to mail me an envelope with newspaper shreddings and proceeded to provide paypal with a tracking number for the newspaper shreddings. That way, they went ahead and released the money to him again. Then I had to call the credit card company and paypal another ten times to straighten things out, and on and on and on........
His item description for the magical chase tells his NEW side of the story. Funny that he never told me any of this incredible story or paypal or ebay.
I have been checking ebay for this guy every week, and he finally surfaces again.
Anyway, just wanted to give out a warning before I contact ebay and give them the story.

yep..a massive flaw with paypal that any idiot can think up. I've had it happen before. No real company would do that, but paypal doesnt give a shit.

I notice on his magical chase item, he says "will accept paypal but no credit cards through paypal." Obvisouly he doesn't want the buyer to be able to cancel the payment.

Wait until somebody bids, then e-mail them with your story.

Tell him that the item was missing from the parcel that he claims it was in, and of course you can check the weight that he paid for against the weight it SHOULD be. Prove that there was no way that the item could have been in there, and demand a refund.

Of course, technically now he could file a claim saying the item was damaged, but I dunno if he'd get away with that.

I have a question though - if this is the case, why does he have 100% good feedback? Didn't you give him negative feedback?

none of that matters. Once paypal settles a claim after a dipshit sends a fake package, it's done. Paypal only allows one complaint per transaction or whatever. Once they get the tracking number, they close the complaint case.

lol, I just saw a reference to Magical Chase in this thread and instantly thought of my "Andre Henretta Conspiracy Pyramid".

Doesn't appear to be him, oh well....

    Damn, this is sad actually.

I've deal with Ed Valdez before, on several occassions in the past and it all went very smoothly. In fact, I bought a very nice Darius Alpha and several of the caravan special HuCards from him in the past, outside of eBay and it was perfect. He really is parallyzed too. But it seems he's turned bad on this stuff. The picture of the sealed Magical Chase is my pic of my MC that I sent him back in the day. I don't know where the DA pic is from though.

I've been out of the Turbo eBay loop lately. What is the story with Andre Henretta now? I've sold him about 5-7 region modded TG16s in the past and had no problems.

Oh, I don't think that Henretta does anything particularly disreputable, he's just always seemed like he was on a quest to buy every copy of Magical Chase that ever hits ebay, sometimes seemingly regardless of whether or not he has to pay like 2x market value for it. I could never tell what he was buying them for, couldn't have been resale, because he was paying through the nose. Then he just stopped all of a sudden. I'm sure he's a terrific customer, if you're selling him something, because he seems loaded, but I can't stand when we're both gunning for the same item.

Because I am an idiot, and did it outside of Ebay. The auction had been up for almost 6 days, and then he ended it early. I emailed him saying that if he ever decided to sell the game again to let me know. He replied saying that someone had offered him $650.00 for it, and that if it fell through he would sell to me. About a week later he emailed me saying the game was mine if I wanted it. So, again, like an idiot, I paid him for the game and shipping and so on.
In the end I did get my money back, but ONLY because I paid with a credit card. Paypal doesn't give a shit as long as they get their percentage. I wound up having to mail the newspaper shreddings back to Mr. Valdez and get a tracking number for it so I could prove to my credit card company that I mailed it back. If I ever visit Colorado again, Mr. Valdez will be the first place I pay a visit to.

Man, I really wish I could introduce this Valdez fellow and that Gavroche guy from that other thread in the marketplace to a good friend of mine.
His name? Mister Aluminium F. Bat. He's very interested in meeting their knees and craniums.

I fucking hate people who scam good collectors.
I hope you guys can get some retribution in these cases.

That would be excruciatingly painful, and it would be quite nasty.
