Wave of donations while I was gone!

    I came back after being sick for two weeks and started to do the regular maintenance.
    My inbox was full with an absolute flood of emails.

    We had several very generous people give some big donations. Big.
    These people have time and again come to the aid of the site. I have told them that they
    can take a day off, sit back and let the other members pick up the tab for once. But they
    still give selflessly, and I am really grateful but at a loss for words.

    I am not a good writer, nor am I able to come up with elegant praise. I just want to let you all
    know that some people feel very passionately for this place, and that we should be grateful.
    They are our benefactors, and as such I have given them user titles to reflect that. Know that
    these are the people who have kept this site alive, and come to our need in dark times.

    What was really pleasant was the wave of small donations that was almost half the amount raised.
    A wave of $5 donations that pushed the total way past what we needed for the month.

    It brings a smile to my face, because for years we have struggled with the few supporting the many,
    and when asked you responded in a big, big way. So in short we raised way too much money for the
    month and we won't need to worry for the next FIVE MONTHS about money for the bills.

    So thanks again to the members of this site for showing that they care, and thanks to our constant
    benefactors. You can rest easy, for there are many hands now helping to carry the burden.

    All of these donations mean we can continue to operate our own server which gives us the seperation
    required to be immune to censorship, unfounded takedown notices, and kneejerk takedown demands by
    nervous server owners.

    Awesome guys, wish i was in a position to donate for the cause! really glad you all chipped in though, after reading the other thread i felt like one of my fave sites would go into the Ether, And also Keep up the good work Kev we are all rooting for you, totally missing you're Dev hardware Vids on the old YT

    Very good of the guys to give so generously...I would donate myself and have tried (Kevin knows this) but my PayPal is perma locked and I'm not about to open another account.

    When a different payment option is made available I would love to donate in future.
