Anyways, I've tried and I think I actually ended up damaging my computer when I fiddled with the registry in order to try and set-up a DC-PC connection with windows XP and my laptops internal 56K modem .

But, I'd still very much want to try and get my DC online this way if anyone was able to help.

If anyone can walk me through it I kill for a good guide to setting this thing up with windows XP.

But, I was also wondering if any innovative people have found a way to take DSL and feed it to the 56K modem through some sort of "converter". Something that takes a DSL connection and converts it to a dial-up connection.

Even if not yet attempted..would something like this be possible?

I've been wondering about this two I know there is A guide for win98 but it would be a hassle to drag that comp out now so I wanna do it with my mac or winxp dell.
However if I'm right by any means other then the dc server there is no way to do it with a 56k. for some reason the dc can't be put online via a router and if thats because of software I have thought about how to find a way to do it via dc software but as of now that doesn't seem like an option

    DSL Dreamcast

Sounds stupid, but maybe a DSL phone line filter, like the ones you connect telephones to when you have DSL. I have no idea if it will work, but just a idea that popped in my head.

DC-talk has info on this. As does consoles online. I have the BBA now, so I am enjoying that!

I used the phone line filter to connect my dreamcast while I had DSL on, bad thing about this is you dont have phone as the dreamcast is using that line.
