Hey guys. I'm having a weird issue on my computer. Websites that update, don't show properly. Examples: If I post on a forum, and then go back to the forums main directory; I don't see my post. In Internet Explorer, it wont show me that I posted until I restart or leave it for a few hours. In Opera and firefox; I have to refresh the page once or several times before it will show that I posted. This has happened on like 6 forums so far. If I post to wikipedia, it wont show up until I check it in another browser. (Sometimes it wont even show up then. To see the edit, I had to go on a different computer). If I read a private message on a forum, it doesn't mark itself as read. And will continously say that I have a new message. These issues seemed to be caused by cookies not updating properly? Maybe I have malware? I ran malware bytes a few days ago. Maybe I should run it again??
Delete your temporary internet files and your cookies. For Internet Explorer, you want to go to the Content.IE5 folder and delete all folders in there. Then I'd reset your browser. Malware is a possibility - maybe even something that was half removed and left something that needs changing back. If doing the above doesn't work, try running Hijackthis and pasting the result on hijackthis.de - then look to see if there's anything with a red X. Warning though - proceed with caution if you're going to delete things with Hijackthis - be sure they're things you don't want! Beyond that, I'd perhaps try something like Ccleaner to see if there's a broken registry association - although there shouldn't be.
