    I took some screens of it below using ZSNES. No idea what it does/is. I can't read Japanese unfortunately. Wish I could have finished that Japanese course I started at IU.

    This is why I could gather from the file and google:

    The full title should read "(...) Maboroshi no Daichi no Shikumi 1 ni Hitokoto" (Comment on Maboroshi no Daichi no Shikumi 1). It's a homebrew tech demo by a group called MARKS. They respond to a manga by Suzuki Miso that was published in Famitsu #380 and dealt with people who pirate games. MARKS say that not everyone is using majikon (generic term for game copiers) to pirate but some do mess around with them to actually develop games. They for example have so far figured out how to make a slideshow - which is what that demo is. It's basically a letter to the editor in the shape of SFC homebrew software.

    While probably not that interesting game-wise, I liked that bit of mid 90s Japanese gaming history. Thanks for sharing.
