so i bought a used gameshark off ebay and it arrived quickly. i put it in my saturn and when i turn it on it loads into the gameshark splash screen and then stays there. nothing else happens. i looked and couldnt find any other info. everything i am reading says it is saposed to go to a menu after that. but mine doesnt. btw, everything is pretty clean.

Check your contacts. Give them a thorough cleaning on the cart. If possible, check your cart slot with another cartridge.

    k. looks like my saturns card slot of not working. i wraped a peice of paper around a credit card and stuck it in the slot. when i pulled it out there was rust on the paper. i opened up the Saturn and i am surprised the thing is even working, it is covered in rust. I bought this saturn from an electronics surplus store. it was in a cardboard box and it was labeled as "For parts". but it worked so i never bothered messing with it. looks like i should buy another saturn before they become scarce.

If the cart slot is full of rust the try completely emptying it of the rust. It may just be shorting or something. If its just the cartslot isnt working then the rest of it should probably work. If you can get pictures great. But next time you have a problem with a console post it in the Restoration and preservation section. This is labeled as Saturn but is for DEVELOPMENT.

    Fascinating.
