I have no idea what this thing is for. It looks like a JAMMA interface on one end and has what looks like two PS1 controler ports and two Saturn controler ports. I guess it could be a JAMMA interface to let you use your PS1 or Saturn in a JAMMA cabinet?

The seller doesn't even know anything beyond it being a "90's game" and they say "(Makaimura? Sega)," which Makaimura was the Japanese title for "Ghosts and Goblins":

And where do you connect the other end?

And why are the RCA's at the right of the Saturn ports?

    Why don't plug it on?

Very interesting.... all the labels are in Chinese (not likely Japanese), so it looks like bootleg territory.

It seems to have saturn and PS2 controller ports

The Edge connector isn't completely JAMMA as the far left pins are not tied which you would expect if they should be both ground.

The bag says SS and PS and seems to have some cables

There are many pin conncectors on the board which coulld be used for interfacing

There are pots near the phono connectors, maybe amplified audio?

I know it seems like a lazy (low quality video signal, mainly) way to do it, but wouldn't it be more than possible to do it by simply hooking an extension cable from the ports on the board to the consoles and then simply plug the Saturn or Playstation RCA cables to the jacks on the board?

It seems kinda stupid, as, well, RGB is better....but everybody has an RCA cable.

The RCA are for audio of course... RGB is probably input through the molex connector next to the audio.

What's strange is that the controller connectors appear to be female so you'd need a custom male to male cable to connect it to consoles.

Really it looks like all the other console->jamma boards, it encodes controller data (about 10 chips), has a timer system that looks microcontroller based, perhaps it does video overlay or uses the four upper left molexes to drive 7-segments, and the top right portion is an IC audio amp.

Where's antipasta's trusty Jamma super gun connector when you need it?? There's only one way to find out.

For it having PSX and Saturn ports, it doesn't seem to have the high density chips that games from that era tend to have.

Could very well be Ghost and Goblins but with the added feature of supporting two different types of controllers and stereo output.

Can't find anything on CONNY arcade boards.

Arcade cabinets have RGB inputs, converting from composite to RGB is hard & it looks like crap. RGB is cheaper and better

Why is that guy using slot machine nudge buttons for actual playing buttons on his cabinet? Surly that would feel like shit.

Surely, but lots of people build crap cabinets and are so impressed with themselves that they can't tell that they've created an abomination.

Don't you remember UK arcade machiens back in the 90s that had the weird and wonderful buttons.

Many JAMMA machines in the UK had them. I won't say cheaper machines, although I should... but I have one and the machine itself is superb! I can rotate the monitor and change PCBs from the front without ever having to pull it out. I just need to change the god awful control panel... one day I'll build a new one! I've been saying that for years, though!

What does that writing on the packaging say? Under PS-SS.
