Just got my PAL (yes PAL, I was worried about huge custom charges) PS3.
I have only one game, Sonic the Hedgehog and I don't really like it. Dr. Robotnik looks like a real life child molester, it actually ruins every sweet memory I had about Sonic... but it's the only "Dr_Slump friendly game" for the moment, I don't play shooters or racing games.
Anyway, my problem is that I see too many glitches even though I updated my system. All the characters have rumbling shadow effects during dialogue and realtime cutscreens and I experience extraordinary slowdowns :noooo: during gameplay that actually affect it. Is it normal?
Also, I tried a blu-ray movie I purchased from the US and it actually plays without any modification ! Isn't PS3 region-locked on movies?

Don't know about your game problem (I do not have the game to compare with a US system). Movies can be region locked, but they do not have to be.

The movie I have (The Fifth Element) has an "A" (region A) indication. Wouldn't it have an "0" or something if it wasn't locked?

@Dr_Slump, your PS3 should be fine. Sonic NG has been known for its crappy performance - I ve experienced some crap on the demo myself on the 360 demo ver. I was hoping they had fixed the damn thing for retail. How much did you pay for your PS3 and how much for the game?

And you can't even download Arcade games eh? Where does all that extra 60Euros go? If anything, it should be cheaper since the PS store deprives you of arcade games.

From what I hear, thats pretty normal for Sonic on the PS3. We've had a few returns of it and the customers all complained the game was glitchy as hell. Haven't seen it for myself though.

When it comes to serious launch titles, only Nintendo & Sega could ever provide such a treat. Oh wait... it's been 6 months since PS3 came out!
