Welcome new xbox mods

Apparently I can't edit, so I'll say that I read the relevant new thread. Given the bullshit over the past week about the developments in the 360 scene I understand completely. I'm surprised that thread didn't get locked, tbh; it does teach people how to steal XBLA games, if nothing else.

 

Not sure if I approve of hl718 being a mod. I absolutely do not approve of the whole "posts require moderator approval" thing.

 

The approval of the members is required if you want people to post here.

I've been sitting around and watching what has become of this forum. It seems like it is shifting more towards the side of xbox-scene rather than a respectable support forum for people with legitimate questions. When I joined, just the mention of piracy was enough to get you flamed by a moderator.

Now, it seems as if the administration greets it with open arms. Basically having a guide just for the sole purpose of converting games that are downloaded from PN for use on a retail is about as close to condoning piracy as changing the site's logo to having "Official Supporter of The Pirate Bay" added to it.

Now adding moderator approval to the forum where some super admins have a bias against members is just adding to the obscurity of a once well-respected forum when it came to Microsoft talk. While you're changing the logo, could you please also add a hammer and sickle to it as well, gold would go nicely with the red background which is already on there.

In short, where has the fundamentals that were around when I joined the forum gone? Out the window? Down the river? Seriously, god, I'm getting tired of seeing a forum I visit almost every day degrade so fast and in such a fashion.

Now you can see why you need to treat everyone correctly and not just your friends.

I am happy for the changes made, and I am happy you picked the xbox1 section old timers. My only problem is that do you really think its necessary to approve every post?

 

Nope, I really don't. The only people who are worth a damn just happen to be people I like. Funny how that works out.

Though i do have to say, the past couple days there might not have been quality discussion in the 360 section,... but it was indeed thoroughly entertaining. :clap:

Definitely some hall of shame worthy content.

 

I honestly think that there should just be no discussion about anything SDK-related. If you require help with anything relating to that subject, then peek around and see who you could possibly get help from. Also, there should be nothing free60/freeboot related, since that seems to cause a lot of controversy. X-S seems more appropriate to discuss it.

 

It's not the discussion that's the problem, it's the tone. Keep it focused on technical issues and it should be fine. It's only when it turns personal that there is drama.
