New to the site, not at all new to gaming/collecting. I use the same name over at NintendoAge for those who may wander there.

I'm not as well-versed technically as most here, it would seem, but my main interests are in the history of retro gaming, most notably in:

    NES
    Master System
    Genesis
    SNES
    Sega Saturn
    N64

My three most emotional connections go back to NES, Genesis, and N64, as those are the systems I grew up with. However, over the past 5+ years, I've really grown an appreciation for the other retro systems, particularly those on my list above. SNES, in particular, really fits well with my gaming habits.

In terms of my collection, I have a pretty decent chunk of CIB games from the systems above. At one point, I owned an entire NES loose set, including the big one, but over the past couple of years I transformed that into a CIB set of games I'm more interested in playing. My collections in the other systems vary in size, but are also CIB. I'd say there's probably a focus in RPGs, my favorite game type, but the collections are certainly not limited to the genre.

My other particular fondness in the collecting world is with prototypes. I have a smallish collection of mostly NES/Genesis, and I'm always on the lookout for others on my list, so to speak. I will probably be throwing out a few in a WTB thread just to see if anyone out there has anything by chance. I love owning a piece of history, particularly for games I have a history with. I have a bunch of pics of my game room/collection that I may share in other sections, assuming there are threads for that and such.

One final thing I'm interested in as technology evolves is getting my hands on some HD retro systems. I know we're kind of in a transition time now for those things, so I will keep my eyes open for that kind of technology, though I may wait a bit for the prices to cool, depending :)

Anyway, that's just a little bit about me. This community seems like a great resource of knowledge, technology, and possibly some hardware, and I look forward to offering whatever small bit I can. Any questions you may have, feel free to ask or send a PM my way.

    Thanks and hello again!
