Well, I can officially say I am sick of Gamefaqs message boards...

Just got warned for a second time this week due to a message that was barely even offensive...I know Gamefaqs has dished out quite a bit of crap the last few months with moderations, but this is just...Ugh...

 

The Gamefaqs boards are a joke most of the time. I do find their database useful but their forums are a no go place for any self respecting gamer. It's just full of dumb teenaged kids or at least that's the opinion I got when I used to go there.

My favorite was the kid who claimed to be "master of Street Fighter 2" and would challenge anyone over Xbox Live and beat them bad.

Yeah, like the good players play on Xbox Live.

 

I thought the place was immature when I was 11, if that tells you anything. I go there on occasion for a good laugh, although I don't have an account.

is really the same shit and i was insulted by mods because i did not know at the time that thread was an old thread people are fuckedup it is better to read there than be a member there.

and the same goes with the forum on martialarts.dk most of the members there are prime noobs although they call themselfs martial artists damn those two places i regret to be a member off.

 

Gamefaqs is the most useless webpage ever. The most common topics:

"Did I get a good deal?"
"What are the good games for this system?"
"What the heck is this system?" I love that question...it's like they've legitimized it by discovering it exists...bleck.
"Where can I get (insert item here) for really cheap?"
"Help, my (insert item here) is broke!"

I used to visit there because it was fun to answer people's quetions, but it isn't fun anymore.

i agree they are pretty horrid, though there faqs and cheats are some of the best.

 

what really bothers me about gamefaqs boards is the fact that they disapear. it seems if a forum isnt in use for more than a set period of time it gets wiped clean...there needs to be an archive.

Gamefaqs is excellent for their guides. Some guides are absolute crap, but I have yet to find another place on the internet with as much free game info compiled into one easy-to-reach location.

But yeah, don't go to the forums unless you want to feel 45 IQ points dumber.

 

If you go to specific boards of not so common games, they're okay. I recently visited the Tales of Rebirth board to get some help and whatnot. The fact that the game isn't available in English cuts down on the fucking moron-factor.

Spot on. Gamefaqs itself can be useful on occasions, but the boards are unbearable.

 

Isnt Tales of Rebirth the same thing as Tales of Destiny II(PS2)?

No. Tales of Rebirth is the newest in the series, and just came out in December. It doesn't look like it'll make it out here. Tales of Eternia became Tales of Destiny II in the US, and Tales of Destiny 2 came out on the PS2 in Japan, but not the US. Confused yet?
