No, it isn't anything negative against me. Back a few months ago, the game store I work at was robbed at night by a kid and he was caught a few days later. Have to going to juvinile court in place of my boss (Mainly to identify that it was him on the security video, item list on what was stolen, etc).

He probably took a display box thinking the game was inside.

Ugh....Court was horrible. Had to sit near a couple of redneck whores who kept making stupid comments. Many of the partents and kids also went to juvie/jail, too. Anyways, the judge came down extremely hard on the kid who robbed us, and not only put him into state custody until he is 18, but put him into juvie for a half a year (He is 17).

Well, thats one thing down. We're still trying to decide if we should sue for damages made to the building, but that will come in time. As for what he stole: Display boxes, a few consoles, a few cheap ass games (Cheap SNES, Genesis games), and $180 bucks in Cash. Damaged the front door and display window in the building, which came to $400 in repairs. Got the games, cases, and consoles back.

Display boxes! What a moron! They're large and unwieldy.. and empty!!!

Wow, you guys can discuss court cases? I don't think we're allowed to over here. But then of course, you have public viewing and even TV footage... here we can't have cameras in the court at all, usually the court artist also has to draw outside the court room from memory!!

Only time we can't discuss it is when the judge orders it that way. Otherwise, you can talk about it (Hell, most court cases are on the news and in the paper)

    Really?
i work in a whsmith shop on sundays, and its acomplete pain in the arse because when new games come in the discs/carts (they only sell PS2 and GBA) are taken out and put into a cupboard, and the empty boxes on the shelves. Which is of course shite for collectors, as it means you don't get a sealed game

i remember one time i was a witness (sp?) in a case where a person tried to assault me (sp ?) and he tried to steal my wallet up at my city´s trainstation and the person who did that got 1 1/2 years prison and is still in because of other criminal things.

and i remember when i was in court i had been awake for about 24 hours (i sometimes have sleep problems) but i did my job and told the truth , damn my nerves were not in a good shape afterwards. (but the next day i felt fine and relaxed :) )
