Congratulations! Good luck with everything! I hope everything goes as smoothly as it can for you and your soon to be wife!   oh, and GaijinPunch.... was that corn comment really necessary?!?! Eating corn as we speak...
I'm not, do what ever I want. It was the sex thing that got me down. 7 years together, sex all the time then along comes the baby and you're getting next to nothing for about 2 years. Quite a stressful time in that area I thought. Yakumo
You could call it that... or of course you could call it wanting to be a responsible parent and have your kid actually knowing who you are years down the road. It's an uphill fight (for most) due to the Japanese work day. For those that aren't privy: 9AM to noon: Free Cell Noon to 13:00: Lunch 13:00 to 17:00: work 17:00 to 21:00: Pretend to work I don't have to put up w/ that shit, but I'm still busy enough that most of my free time after work is spent being a dad.
Here's how my work day goes 8:30 to 12:30 - Work 12:30 to 1:30 - Lunch 13:30 to 5:30 - Slight work and watch TV / movie or sleep. I hate the afternoons. The thing is that we have work but I get it done in the morning while the Japanese staff ponder about making a meal out of everything. I wish i could go home but I can't. Get home and then I'm with the baby until he goes to bed which can be as late as 11:30pm at times. Yakumo
11:30? Parents of the year there. Haha. I know how it goes though. Mine's usually down by 21:00, but the little punk gets it in his head that he's going to play. Now that he walks and sleeps on the floor, you have to keep an eye on him.
Thanks for the well wishes everybody. I survived the day quite well. We had an amazing dinner at a chinese restaurant here in montreal that everybody loved (i've been there before but only tried a few dishes, this time got to try out 11 different dishes and some were fantastic). Also what marriage isn't complete with out getting a coffee maker as a gift. (yeah I got one) I'll post a picture of us from yesterday later today.
I think is too late to say "good luck at the ceremony" now, so I'll stick to the usual "you better dont screw it up!" in-laws tend to say in these occasions:lol: Anyway, had I been there I would have ordered some curry+beef and kung-pow chicken:nod::dance:
I'd probably have looked at what the house special was. I like to try something different where ever I go.
Sorry parris, Here is one from the dinner. BTW, the dragonball hair color is purely her idea. http://img187.imageshack.us/img187/2295/dsc00956smkq4.jpg
