Ok so when I first got my laptop one of the first things I did Was make SURE it can run Crysis. I ran the benchmark on Can you run it and passed I had a friend over for Breakfast and was getting show offey and ran it again low and behold it FAILED! I have a 64 bit 2.0ghz Dual Core Centrino so I'm 99% sure I can run it It passed everything else 4 gigs of ram, Radeon 4570, 64 bit Vista (which may be why it failed) But i'm baffled as to why suddenly when it passed the benchmark before a month later it's not. Sup wit that? I'm downloading the Demo now to see if it'll run I'm pretty sure it will on Medium settings at least.
Probably some kind of driver issue, just shooting some stuff out there: you installed some application/game that included an old version of directx? or something messed up your video drivers. Just reinstall the videocard again with the latest drivers available from ATi and double check if you are running the latest directx. Havn't used a pc for games in ages (probably since 1998 or something) so im not the best to answer here
It's saying my CPU is inadequate The site has changed too so maybe it's the website. I'm getting windows 7 day one so that might resolve everything.
One of the things I've learned over the years is that you can never trust "Can you run it". You will be able to run it, my laptop has a 1.83Ghz core 2 duo, 2 gigs of ram and a 8400m g (much much worse than your card) and Crysis runs at 30 fps on low settings.
Are you sure the power saving features of your laptop is not throttling the speed of your CPU, making the readings not accurate?
Did you have it plugged into the mains when you ran the test? Laptops tend to slow down when not plugged in to save energy.
Can you run it is about as effective as asking a monkey to tell you how well your system is going to run a game. It does everything by numbers, nothing else. Fail basically.
