Appears to have the same dimensions and cart connection as a Sega Mark III cart. It looks like it was designed to interface with a PC-Link cable. I can make out the word BAT1 near the MGD2 connector and I can see there is some raised shielding near that word on the inside of the cart, so there is likely a battery on the inside. Does anyone know the function of this item?

Also, this came in a set of MGD2 items I picked up over 10 years ago. I wish I had asked what it was at that time, because I certainly don't know what it is now. It's possible that it's not MGD2 related, but everything else that came with it was. Someone suggested it might be a JTAG interface - but to what I do not know:

    Thanks!

The Multi Captions Card is not game console related. Certain Chinese market laserdisc players used cartridges to provide Chinese subtitles to foreign movies. I have the Multi Captions Card as well as some caption card bootlegs. Still looking for a laserdisc player to try them on.

Do you have any MGD2 caption card dumps?

Thank you for the information. :) No, I'm afraid I do not have anything like that - just the Multi Captions Card itself.
