I heard that the third part is not that good. At least a friend of mine told me that, and usually I can trust his recommondations Maybe I can test it somewhere sometime, as I'm still playing the 2nd part every day
I'm playing Two Worlds for the PC. Despite the reviews I've read, I think its actually pretty enjoyable. Its basically an Oblivion clone (kinda) but its much better in several ways, IMHO.
Oh my god, are you serious? The 360 one was one of the worst games I have ever touched. My friend was so pissed when he bought it he immediatly got a refund. Though i'm not into those games, I guess I can see liking them if you are.
I sorta play oblivion on the 360 lately. It's very time consuming and I m wondering whether I should just stop playing it before I start taking it too seriously!
Currently playing Super Turrican on the SFC. That game is just so playable with fantastic audio and only 4MB in size! Yakumo
Finally got the Big Boss emblem in MGS4 which was a pain in the ass. Now I'm patiently waiting for Soul Calibur IV on the 30th.
The 360 port is a piece of SHIT. Besides, that game was made for a PC interface in mind, and thats one reason Gamespot lowered its score. Oh yeah, Gamespot docked its score because it was "Too hard". LOL! I've put over 20 something hours into it, and besides the awful intro (that NPC who talks to you at first is ugly and has the worst voice actor ever) the game actually gets decent, and the voices and the way NPCs look ranges from normal looking with decent voices, to kinda ugly with mediocre voices. Sometimes mix and match in that regard. I played Oblivion for a REALLY long time but there are just little things in Two Worlds that I like a lot more. The main thing is that there is no more level scaling nor is there mobflation. (Mobflation means you dont get attacked by weak hordes, but damage sponge tank enemies. Boring as shit.) If you liked Oblivion for the PC, I'd recommend getting Two Worlds for the PC as well. I also made a really lengthy post about it and Oblivion for another forum, but I guess I'll post it here as well: "You know, once you get past the shitty first 5-10 minutes of the game, it actually gets pretty fucking entertaining. The dialog, story, acting, and voices are kinda mediocre. And the NPCs are kinda ugly. However, the actual game is fun as hell. And everything can be hotkeyed, and auto aim can be set to spells if you want. No more missed spells that use up all your MP! I guess hardcore gamers might want to turn that off, though. I could go on and on. Two Worlds also has OVER 9000 more weapons and armors than Oblivion and each of them match well with the other sets. The battle system is pretty easy, mainly dodging and attacking and using a spell here and there, but the amount of enemies you fight at once make you think before standing still hacking away. And, unlike Oblivion, jumping on to a rock doesnt mean you are safe. Enemies can follow you up there and still attack you. For those that dont know, jumping onto a rock with a bow and arrow in Oblivion means NO NPC can reach you no matter how hard they try. Level scaling ensures you are fighting like 1-3 guys at a time in Oblivion as well, so you can see how this would be pathetically easy to exploit. Not in Two Worlds. It may be that Im playing hard mode, but its actually a lot more difficult than Oblivion, without resorting to Mobflation. That means that there are actual enemy mobs, rather than souped up versions for long tedious battles, Like Oblivion. Anyone else here play this game for more than 5 minutes before simply calling it shit and quitting? I played Oblivion for nearly 210 hours, but I had more fun in Two Worlds than most of those 200 hours in Oblivion. And, in my honest opinion, its overworld is a LOT more interesting than Cyrodiils. The main thing about Oblivion I hated was how empty the world was. Oblivion just feels empty compared to Two Worlds, and Two Worlds has a better overworld, too. The world in Two Worlds is very varied, with tons of different styled cities (Greek, traditional, Japanese, Desert alley towns...) and most of them have their own theme song, and they aren't in different cells, similar to Morrowind. In Oblivion, you get attacked by a lone wolf every mile or so. In Two Worlds, you get attacked by wolf PACKs pretty frequently, and they are much much tougher. Plus, every Wolf attacking you at the same time can be lethal. Like instant death. Its a lot more challenging, and the spoils they give are worth a lot more Gold than the Oblivions counterpart. About the only way to make good money in Oblivion was doing boring quests, and level scaling didnt help much for that. You could make lots of money in Oblivion by making potions for profit, but its really cheap and broken. In Two Worlds, everything in your inventory is at least worth SOMETHING, unlike Oblivions awful system. Ooh, a caliper and tongs! Worth ZERO gold each! Awesome! Most other complaints I see about Two Worlds are 360 fans crying because they bought the inferior version. If you dont want a laggy experience, GET A BETTER PC. And surprise, surprise, the 360 port of Oblivion was a piece of shit, too. Maybe not as bad as the Xbox port of Morrowind, but still. The PC version of both games owns the CRAP out of the console versions any day of the week, anyways. Im not trying to convince you to buy it, but I think the people who bash it should play it before they judge it. Thats the problem with most Two Worlds threads I see. *lol the acting sucks this game sucks* and then they quit. Its either that, or they try to play Online with a 56K modem and bitch about it lagging. The NPCs ARE kinda ugly and the women are dressed in realistic regalia of the time (not too appealing) though...too bad I dont think WRPGs are porn simulators! You know who you are." EDIT: This is a picture of my character. On a side note: With the 1.6 patch, Mounted combat and horse control becomes much easier. I've always heard complaints about mounted combat sucking, but after I patched it, its really, really cool. And yes, that is a Skeleton horse in my picture. For those that don't know, Oblivion didn't have mounted combat. For shame, Bethesda....for shame.
Right now I'm playing (what a surprize...) Oblivion, I'll have to buy another GB of RAM if I want it to run at a decent speed on Vista (with 1GB it's starting to get annoying). Also I started playing Beneath a Steel Sky via ScummVM in Ubuntu (always been a huge fan of graphic adventure games).
The PC version of Two Worlds looks pretty good overall. Haven't tried it yet though. I did try the 360 port and it s.u.c.k.e.d. But your points seem fair enough. And for those who are playing Oblivion right now, beware, it can suck your lifestream OH: as it did to me, I think I played over 150+ hours on the 360 version , until my xbawks suddenly stopped recognizing the Oblivion disc dunno why :crying:
Sonic Adventure (DC) Darius 2 (MD) Darius is pretty cool but also seems to be a bit hard. Maybe I should try it tomorrow when it's not 5am
