Space Invaders Extreme - NDS Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates - NDS Final Fantasy IX - PSX
Well, no, it's my first experience with a Fire Emblem title. I always wanted to buy the one on GC, but I never got the timing free time/ thoughts of buying this title. Anyways, you're not too lost without having played the previous game, the history is well put in context and I wasn't lost in any moment. I have to admit I'm a tactic game fan and I really like it. The fact that if your characters die, it's for good, give an interesting twist on the tactic formula (you never want one to die and the game is already really challenging (even on medium)). I'm really looking into buying the opus on gamecube (I think you even have the option to continue your quest from your gc save, but I haven't tested, of course) now and maybe the titles on GBA. If you're not really into tactics games, I don't this is the one that's going to change your mind (it's similar to Final Fantasy Tactics to give you an idea). In any ways, if you can appreciate a tactic game, it's a pretty good offering in a genre that is not too frequent on Wii.
Currently... -Doom 1 and 2 -Halo 3 -Secret Of Mana -Rockband (When friends are over) -Hotel Dusk
I see your view is in line with mine, although from a different perspective, as I really don't enjoy tactics games all that much (including FF:Tactics and Tactics 2) That said, I d also suggest you try Ogre Battle 64, a very solid and LONG game! Also, you should feel right at home with the GC version of the game, since it follows the same control mechanism and sports same menus etc, although it has sort of repetative animations. @Crazy: Hotel Dusk is the game to own on the DS. Also give Dementium: The Ward a try, you ll find similarities but it's a totally different (spooky-shooter) experience! @mooseblaster: Sunshine is alright, but it feels like a SM64 expansion than a stand-alone game =p Galaxy>SM64>Sunshine as far as 3D mario games go! (Lovely level concepts and design though in Sunshine, although a bit devoid of spirit and size)
Haven't been able to play a much as normal (wife has been really sick) But i'm spreading out time between: Hot Shots Golf:Out of Bounds (PS3) Super Mario Galaxy (Wii) Worms Open Warefare 2 (DS)
Bump. I'm currently playing Lost Winds, nice and fun WiiWare game. Totally worth the 1000 Wii Points. Also trying out some DS demos from the Nintendo Channel.
TONS of Pokémon and I'm about to start Lost Odyssey... I still have Blue Dragon and Mass Effect that I need to finish... ong:
I started playing Darwinia this weekend. Great game, not as fast-paced as I thought it was, but fun nonetheless.
Rez must be good on drugs, but darwinia? the AI is pathetic, you have to keep moving the squads around so thee wont be killed, and the darwinians away from the enemy so they dont kill themselves trying to shot them. Then theres the engineers that cant avoid any obvious danger, and the officers that need to move around with the darwinians because the little idiots cant find their way if its too far away. Overall it needs concentration, something you lack while high on dope. I stopped playing it, too much stuff to do for college.
Bought Rock Band at the crazy EU prices, and played a fair bit over the weekend, with hubbie and my brother. Good fun, but I really wish drum silencers came as standard (especially for £150!). Still plugging away through Sora no Kiseki FC, hopefully I'll have it finished by the time English of the Dead turns up.
Finally got a Battle Bakraid pcb so I've been playing that. Picross DS Final Fantasy V and still plugging away at Oblivion.
