What, video game related obviously (given the nature of this forum) are you currently looking forward to? Games, hardware, game mods, new machines, old games or systems you're looking to pick up, whatever. Personally, I'm looking forward to GTA V (loved GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas, didn't like GTA IV at all, but GTA V sounds like they've put the fun back in), Batman: Arkham Origins (Batman: Arkham City is probably my favourite game of this generation, and B:A Asylum was brilliant too), Watch Dogs, and the DLC for Bioshock: Infinite (I wasn't too keen on Bioshock: Infinite, but I love Bioshock 1 and especially 2, and the DLC takes place in Rapture so I'm hoping it'll be back up to the standards of Bioshock 2). There's not much else commercial that I'm looking forward to at the moment, for me the gaming industry is in a bit of a rut. I'm sort of looking forwaed to Thief 4, but my hopes aren't high that it'll be as good as the others (I liked Thief 3, which many Thief fans didn't). And I'm still hoping the fantastic Read Read Redemption gets a (good) PC port. I already have it on the 360, but a game like that would have some amazing fan made mods if it was on the PC. I'm also hoping for a new Unreal Tournament, but I doubt that will appear, as Epic seem to have forgotten about the franchise (though looking at UT3, I wouldn't have too much confidence that a new UT would reach the stellar heights of UT1999 and UT 2004. And of course I'm looking forward to Half-Life 3, though like the rest of us millions of HL fans, I don't even know for certain that it's being made. I believe it is (it would be possibly the biggest earning game ever, so Valve would be stupid not to make it), but I do think it's likely to be an exclusive (at least a timed exclusive) for Valve's upcoming console, as it would be the best killer app their console could have. I'm also looking forward to the fan made mod of Goldeneye and Perfect Dark, Goldeneye X, which aims to bring Goldeneye to the Perfect Dark engine, and so giving GE the PD advantages, such as weather, speech, sims (bots) in multiplayer, etc. The multiplayer is almost done (download it from http://www.goldeneyevault.com/viewfile.php?id=202 ), but at the moment there are no single player Goldeneye levels in the mod. A multiplayer only version of Timesplitters 1 - 3 is being made, which if done well could be brilliant (I love TS2 and especially 3) though I hope there's single player too. I'm also hoping it's not next-gen exclusive, as I've no desire at the moment to buy a next generation machine. Really though, I'm just glad I like retrogaming, and have so many older consoles, as if I was one of those people who only ever owned the current gen. then I'd be bored waiting for good new games to play. I have many great games on the N64, Gamecube, PS2, etc to play (or replay), and as much as I love the 360 and PS3 (and PC) I'll never get rid of my older systems.
Right now I pretty much have everything I bought the PS3 for. I just got Rockman 8 for Saturn....I'm set for awhile.
I hate to say it, but the game I'm most looking forward to is Sonic Lost World on Wii U. I know that places me in the Sonic Cycle, but in my defense the last Sonic game I was actually hyped about was Sonic Adventure 2 (on Dreamcast). Outside of that there's Crimson Dragon, but I'm disappointed it isn't getting a physical release. Then Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. Then Killer Instinct Ultimate Edition. Then Super Mario 3D World.
I'm really tempted to get a Vita because of Killzone Mercenary. Don't know if i'll take the risk though. Curious about Killzone Shadow Fall, but won't get a PS4 anytime soon, so... I'm a bit skeptical about GT6, but i really hope is a big improvement after GT5. Puppeteer looks fun too. Rayman Legends is a must buy. Watch Dogs and GTA V looks promising.
There's not really much that interests me at the moment. I might get a PS4 when it comes out, but I'm not sure which games I'd get. There was a platformer that looked interesting, and that Capcom game with the dragons and stuff looked like it could be good. I dunno, I haven't been really keeping up with modern games. I'm also interested in Super Mario 3D World, but I don't have a Wii U, so that's probably not happening any time soon. For the moment, I have an awesome gaming PC, so I'll probably buy some new games for it eventually.
Killer Instinct, Watch Dogs (though probably only the next-gen versions, if that first gameplay trailer was any indication of 360/PS3 play), maybe Sonic Lost Worlds for after I get a Wii U, and Arkham Origins, though I'm not pre-ordering it either)
I'm not really looking forward to anything game wise that's coming out, though I have several pre-orders including both an XBox1 and PS4. And I can't deny some excitement at a new Killer Instint finally. But most of all I'm looking forward to the remodeling being done in my house for almost a year finally being done so I can have all my consoles set up again, along with the new 55" TV, 7.1 Surround Sound, and a projector for when 55" is just not enough. I got a bunch of boxes sitting in my living room, along with matrix switchers and 2 video processors, just waiting to set it all up, which should be within the month.
