What are your ringtones?

Random question, I know. I was wondering how many videogame related ones there would be.

For my ring, I use Nine Inch Nails - Survivalism, and have for years. For texts, I have the 1up sound from Sonic Chaos.

I prefer simple elegant and unobtrusive 'Ring Ring' tones, but my phone has none ¬¬ and I've never come across anything decent. I'd also like the noise from SMB2 in Mario Allstars, when Birdo shoots an egg, as my text tone- but I can't find that and cba to record it either.

Whats yours?

 

for text messages I have the Sonic ring collect sound, for Emails it's the female voice from the JPN version of Burning Rangers telling me I have mail. Finally for my ring tones I have 2. The missus has Darth Vaders Imperial March tune while everyone else gets a blast of Thunder Force IV Omake Track 7 (I think it was 7)

I just re-formatted my nokia device, it's all on the default settings....

 

a cut-up version of Boards of Canada's "Roygbiv" for calls, and for texts one of the built-in ones. I used to have a slick Frenchman in a deep voice saying "Je suis venu... pour te dire...", but that got obtrusive (and effing gay) at one point. Not big on video game ringtones anymore, but back in the days of polyphonic MIDI I used to have Tyrian's main theme or FF's victory melody

 

I had MGS sounds but then after meeting entirely too many people with the same soundset... I'm back to a bleep for texts and a double-bloop for emails. And then the first two phrases of Jynweythek Ylow by Aphex Twin for the call ringer.

I'll figure something out eventually.

BoC are awesome. I did used to have Mecha Green Hill as my ringtone too but it got a bit annoying.

 

Mine too, I don't want to entertain other people with my phone calls.

 

I use default sounds despite having an extremely customizable device. Over the years I have found that if I put a favourite tune as a ringtone I often come to hate the tune later on.

Therefore, I d rather go with standard generic phone ringtones, which are easily associated with the anxiety of picking up the line some times. Wouldn't want that feeling to ruin my love for Zelda, say for example.

Yep, phones ring in the worst situations and subconsciously you connect the ring tone with those bad experiences.

My phone has no defaults- just the damn Sony Ericsson tone (which is OK I guess but sounds AWFUL when it is ringing loud, really shrill), and the message tones are either too long or too quiet.
