The recent threads about Firefox and stuff got me thinking - what browsers do you guys actually use most often? I've tried to list all the ones I can think of - if there's something I forgot, please say so!
Wow, you posted before I finished filling in the poll! Anyway, just for a pointless comparison, here's the order I got them in when searching for "web browser" in Google: 1. Mozilla (their website in general, including Firefox and Thunderbird) 2. Opera 3. Netscape 4. IE 5. Safari 6. Lynx 7. Galeon - some browser for GNOME (a Linux GUI) Here's also the W3C's statistics of browser usage over the past few years. IE has the lowest percentage it's ever had now, mostly thanks to Firefox!
Bah! I didn't read properly - I should have voted Safari but instead I clicked other -_- On PC though use Firefox
^_^ I can't remember now - was it just a modified IE or what? Anyone who still uses that is also crazy in the coconut - looking at modern websites at 640x480 must be pain...
You mean the PlanetWeb DC browser? I'm pretty sure that was built from the ground-up as it really took on a new look and feel as the updates came along.
PlanetWeb was definately a custom job. Cast my vote for IE - I'm using Avant Browser, but it's basically an Internet Explorer addon/extension.
No. Use PW 3.0 or better yet XDP. Looks and works fine. PW was custom browser, they made the Saturn browser as well. Europe's browser Dreamkey was based on SOJ's DreamPassport. XDP uses a modified IE client as well as an option. Wonder if anyone still uses Netscape....
i am using firefox but ZilogJones you forgot Arachne the dos browser. and right now i am using IE at my friend (i am getting home sunday and to Yakumo if he reads it Denmark is snowed in so if you think it is strange the package has not come yet it is because of the snow in DK)
I'm using Firefox but I'm not very impressed by it. Firefox only displays 1/3 of all the Japanese sites I view and it no matter how many times I mess with the cookies/automatic forms, it won't save my eBay login.
Firefox. I like it much better than IE (and it's miles ahead of the ultra-shitty AOL browser at home). Now if I could only convince my family to USE the damn thing.
FF. FF and IE are identical, couldn't really give one way or another, tho FF does act a bit wonky at times. Need to clear out the cache every now and again, or else websites get fuxxorred...
