I guess it depends on what version you're talking about. Never seen these before... I figure Yakurmo's got a video of 'em lying around his room or something. I figure people were sick of me talking about the Gold Saturn (and yes, I found that pic as well -- although it's not half as cool as this) and Bert Hardy wondering if I'm worth two shits since I still haven't taken pics of the STARS DC, I figured this would keep everyone busy for a bit. Before you bitch about the picture being small, read the description.
I'm sure that some of you will slap me, but I think that a coloured console, althought it's an official edition, hasn't anything atractive for me, excepting, maybe, Regulation 7. I apologize Gaijin Punch for this little off-topic, but I would like to know your opinions about this kind of "special versions". Thanks .
[slap] HEhe --- to each his own. The R7 DC does nothing for me. I already have a Super Black Model DC. I don't find the R7 attractive at all. These Mazora's I think are quite cool though --- very strange designs for a console. I also find it strange that they made more than a few different kinds, and only reelased one in extremely limited quantities.
Instead of making so many different limited DC "shells," I wish Sega made a revised DC console that was entirely different, with a front loading CDROM or something weird.
I can only assume monetary issues are what stopped them from doing something like that. That and there's traditionally only been one "shape" of each console since the 32-bit consoles started.
The Mazora is only one colour which looks like many different colours depending on the lighting or angle at which it's viewed. It can look green, gold, purple and maybe even silverish. Yakumo
. can we just collect enough Saturn shells and send off to shop and have them plated in gold/silver/bronze or whatever you fancy? that way we will all have our favourite colour console! he he cheers p.s. then I call my Gold DC as PimpDC... p.p.s. sorry for OT
. hmm... this gives me an idea. this kind of painting is common in import car scene... maybe I should ask mate whether he can spare Sunday afternoon painting my DC shell in that colour cheers
RIght, but I think you missed the point... did you follow the link in my original post? There's clearly a few that Johnny Gamer (or Yoshi Gamer in this case) never had a dream of getting.
I have no idea... people are looking at the pic, no? Or are you referring to the normal Mazora? Just in case: I have no clue what it's made of, but Chrome seems a bit odd. I know it changes color, but I don't think it can go from the bright yellow to the purple shown on the pics in the middle.
As Kyuusaku has said I only would find sense to collect different versions of a console if they include technical or design differences. In the case of Saturn, maybe only the Hi-Saturn and V-Saturn adjust to that terms... In the case of Dreamcast... Divers 2000 or, as much, Regulation 7. I've been able to get pretty and good coloured consoles thanks to use paint for cars. You can get marvelous brights and color effects, better than that official cases. One relative of me works in a BMW workshop so it helps much, he he he . Salutes .
Divers 2000 - Oddest, maddest, craziest design for a console ever. But the most sexy fine looking machine ever. Nintendo/Sharp were far too sensible with the Famicom/SF TVs. I'm glad Sega though, "nah, fuck it, lets add some lights and see through bits and antenna. And finish off with a nice tail effect." Cool. Good plan. And that's why it interests me. Neither Sony, Nintendo or M$ have the balls to release something as crazy; and get away with it. Videogameimports.com did have one in a while ago, no box, but everything else was there for either £400/450. Unfortunately, I was muchos skint at the time. If they get another though, i'll have it. I assume getting one shipped over from Japan EMS is gonna cost a good £100 or so? Anyone know how limited they are? 500/1000? Now if only there was a Saturn version of the Divers in existence rayer:
The Divers 2000 Dreamcast isn't really rare in Japan, they're sold on yahoo auctions very often. Btw. - is the Divers 2000 really made by SEGA ?
I don't think it was.... if it had a better TV in it, I'd think of buying one, but the screen is just goofy. Counterproductive for me to buy it, even though it was a ballsy (and cool) thing. I'd much rather have a 1 of a kind shell, signed by someone.
