Hi, I'm a new member in this site and I want to know why this game is so rare to see. I know that he is shmup and not is a bad game but is very rare and obscure game to see, why? exist few units? I have 1 unit for this game in complete condition with reg card but in ecent years I haven't seen it in ebay for sale more in one go
Hmh, first i know that people @ ebay are ill, the pay around 350-400€ for this game ! It is @yahoo japan from time to time, in the last year Ku2++ was there bundled 3 or 4 times with some other games or systems. I would say netto price in japan is around 10.000-20.000yen. The game itself is not worth the money (from a "gamers" side") it is way to hard / unfair and imo only the "Fun mode" makes fun ^__^ Its nice to eat enemys with your options but after level 3 it gets hard as hell.
I believe that it is normal that it is a very expensive game why in Europe it is most difficult to see. In 5 years I only see once in ebay
But this fact does not make the game rare & obscure ! There are many FM Towns games on the japanese market and many of them where never on ebay or only a few times; Ever seen Prince of Persia II @ebay? Monkey Island II only pops up every year and NEVER @ 1€ auction 900€ buy now WTF? There are so many sellers buying @ yahoo and selling @ ebay for insane prices. Here are a few ebay prices from the last year; Raiden 180 Euro Flying Shark loose disc 80 Euro Bubble Bobble 140-200 Euro Ku 2++ 360 Euro Flying Shark 360 Euro They even pay up to 60€ for common porn games ! If someone really wants to collect FMTowns games and only buys over ebay.... AMEN ! (Same with PC98, x68k, MSX...) Or do you think Panther Software has only made 10, 100 or 500 copys for Ku2++, a game that exists on TWO computers (x68000 & FMTowns) ? Why should they port and then only produce a small number of games ?
A whole lot of japanese games simply don't appear on ebay often if ever. How many times have you seen the GBC, N64, or PS1 versions of Puyo Puyo 4 there?
# Nah, there's been more than that. I've seen several, picked up my copy for around $70 from Ebay US.
The X68000 version is rarer as it wasn't sold as a retail package and only through Takeru vending machines.
Any chance of a box shot? (front/back if possible). Trying to fill in the holes in my collection of X68k box pics.
