What Do You Love?

Well, forum has been slow for a few days now, so I thought I'd start one of those "everyone can reply" topics to get the juices flowing again. Just tell me what you love besides video games. It can be anything. I'll go first, with music and women (in that order). Video games come waaaayyyy after those two and in fact there is quite a gap between them aswell. Women can be hell sometimes, music is always cool and my records have never slept with anyone behind my back.

besides my main hobby gaming i enjoy shooting and cycling usedto ride 20 miles a day! now i got a flat tyre and the damned valve is too short for the majority of pump to fit it :S love taking it up a mountain called blackstone edge you can do 40mph coming down without too much effort but if you slam her into 27th gear and pedal like a madman its possible to do much closer to 60mph - vrooom! 1 hell of a rush :smt033

 

Actually I cycle a bit too. No where near as much as you though. And 27 gears is over kill man

27 gears has been the standard for the true enthusiast for the last 5 years i have a mix of shimano deore, lX and XT on my rig though i didused to have a fukl XT set up i broke some of my chainsets doing some cross country charity rides :smt022

Outside of computers and videogames I am often Longboarding/Slaloming. I also like to go Freeride/Downhill biking on weekends when I'm not busy doing homework or fixing up an old '68 MGB. In the winter I'll also often be snowboarding in Tahoe if possible.

1.) My girlfriend (who today gave me some rather severe beatings at Street Fighter Alpha 3, Sega Rally 2, and Puyo Puyo Fever)

2.) Playing engaging computer- and videogames

3.)Reading manga

4.)Watching anime (subbed, preferrably)

5.)Building a head of obscure technical trivia related to computers, arcades, videogames, etc. and then dazzling my friends with it (alright, they couldn't care less, but still...)

6.)Attempting to play guitar

7.) Trying to survive school so I can go be monkey boy (artist) to some awesome game development studio.

Wow. Didn't think there would be so many bikers here. What type of biking do you guys do?


I'm afraid I only have 18 gears on my Kona Bear, but for downhill/freeriding that's more than plenty.

1. Gaming (duh )
2. Programming, mostly in assembler and preferably low-level (also on
the PSX and GBA)
3. Being a techie and accumulating pointless technical knowledge
(kinda like greatsaintlouis)
4. Cycling, but I have a pretty crappy city bike even though that
doesnt prevent me from doing 50-70km a day in the summer
5. Japanese culture & language
6. Reading
7. Drinking & an occasional herbal smoke with a few friends
8. I'm trying to get into running too but I first need to get a good set
