... the one with the atari-logo instead of the second "A", personally I think it sucks bigtime, when was it introduced ??? I've seen it some days ago for the first time ... regards manopac
Yeah in 1984 or something All the new Atari does is license Bandai games and those plug-and-play-retro-joystick things?
like I said before, Atari are dead. What Atari is now is nothing but shite. think of them as a poor Eidos or something. Bull shitting the masses in to thinking that they made the game. You wouldn't believe my disgust when I saw the Atari logo on the Game Cube version of Ikaruga. Yakumo
Yeah, Atari does "steal" games--it's simply a label, nothing in common with the games they publish or they're old namesake. It's a recognizable brand, which is why they use it. "Atari" recently lost its main publishing property, Unreal Tournament. Damn are they stupid.
It's really quite sad. You see this kind of thing happen: Ocean -> Infogrames -> Atari Ocean was pretty decent, in a RAREish sort of way.
Well, their website appears to have had it since November 2003, although my source for this wasn't updated between July and then, so mid-late 2003? Click here for the archived site.
Yeah, the new atari logo has been out there for quite some time. Personally, I haevn't bought a atari game in nearly 3 years, so I wouldn't know.
Not as stylish as the original, but I can't find that on a sticker. My laptop has that logo and it looks pretty cool, even retro-ish. Which is kind of fitting, since my laptop sucks. Though, probably, the shiny quality of the stickers and their hologramosity make them look so deiliciously 80's... Those stickers are pretty much the best reason to buy the DragonBall Budokai games if you're not a DBZ fan.
