I saw these screens when looking for something else, but I thought they were cool enough to try out. I was thinking it was front mission at first, but after looking at other screens, I dont know WTF it is. I got this from a japanese site, btw, and all the letters were question marks. How do I fix that??
Its Mad Stalker, for PCE ACD/Marty/PSX/SFC/X68k..............but it isnt. This IS Mad Stalker, the characters are, the warning flash is, the level with the car IS level 1, but Mad Stalker is 2d, maybe this isa some isometric re-make? see my mini review, you can get a version there too http://baseley09.tripod.com/x68000xtreme/id2.html
Nothing does it automatically as it appears on the page, if that's what you're after. Nearest thing I can think is a Firefox extension I've got that lets me highlight text, then right click and choose a language to translate from. The extension is just called "translate", I got from the usual Mozilla extension website. Alternatively you could highlight the text, copy it, go to babelfish.altavista.com or google's version (can't remember the address) and do the same thing manually.
Post a link to the officla site... that'll be one way to find out. You're doing something wrong. In Firefox, try ALL the Japnanese encodings. It's probably either SJIS or EUC.
http://www9.big.or.jp/~hanzow/index2.html As a warning, this place is NOT work safe as it is hentai infested. Its in the gallery, btw.
Don't use Babelfish, it's awful. it's really even more confusing than just dumbly looking at the Japanese. The only decent machine translator for Japanese I've ever found is Amikai. It was formerly used on excite.co.jp, but they seem to have switched since the last time I checked, but apparently nifty.co.jp also uses the Amikai engine. http://www.nifty.com/globalgate/ Enter a URL into the top box and then choose the second option form the pull-down menu (Japanese to English) and click the button. It produces a passable translation and what's really nice is that it leaves the Japanese intact, just putting the translation underneath, so if you know any Japanese at all (or Chinese in my case), you can still work on the translation yourself if Amikai doesn't seem to be doing a good job. Plus maybe you can actually learn something by checking out the Japanese and English side-by-side (or top-by-bottom, I suppose) like that. For an online dictionary of Japanese (which won't translate whole pages at a time, but will give you more detailed translations of words and phrases and even whole paragraphs), check this site: http://www.csse.monash.edu.au/~jwb/wwwjdic.html ...word is bondage...
Using that translator it says the top mechs are from Power Dolls FX (PC-FX), didnt say anything about the isometrical ones, but they are definately some sort of Mad stalker remake, the shot of a lot of robots are sprite rips from that game.
On a quick glance through the galleries the names seem to be censured with a circle, but I'd guess the first one was Power Doll FX, the second one Mad Stalker, and the third and fourth Black Magic. 2nd glance. It appears the guy did the graphics for those games and stuff, but the third and fourth Black Magic galleries are fake screens. Anyone got a PC-FX?
I quite liked this picture Not too smutty or hentai yet still pleasing to the eyes Actually, wasn't Power Dolls also available for another system? I remember watching the anime years ago so maybe that is what I'm thinking about. Yakumo
I agree the second one looks like Mad Stalker, I have a sample cd of it on PC Engine, it looks familiar, but I haven't played it for months, I'll check that one when I can. I have a PC-FX and Power Dolls FX (somewhere ) I'll check that one too, but I thought Power Dolls FX was just an interactive movie... Sabre
