Yet more shite from the talentless Japanese TV show producers. Saw this and yep, they act just the same as in EVERY other japanese drama plus like every other Japanese drama the BGM is well over used.

I read that they are making a new Masion Ikkoku drama. Why? We all know it will be crap.

PS: Sorry for the rant but Japanese TV is last ! Thank God for UK Nova.

There's about a million reasons to love Japan other than TV. There are indeed many other reasons to hate it though, IMHO.

These pussies that are just now moving anywhere abroad have it so easy. I didn't walk uphill bothways to work or anything, but when I first went to Japan there was no broadband. It cost by the minute to surf, and took years for TV shows to be readily available for download. My sister has just now moved to Europe as a missionary, and has the luxury of DVD and whatnot. Fuck... Amazon was just a little bookstore back in 1998.

I hate the tele. I never watch any. It's always boring stuff about people. I like documentaries mostly, and stuff that can educate (and in essence entertain) me.

I dont care about reality shows. I get to f**k more than those guys anyway, so why would I wanna see "intriguing stories", or "shocking events" , when the pranks that I pull off out-class any of those done by TV-whores?

Even the news is dull nowadays.

Rarely have I stumbled upon quality programmes. People get dumber and dumber every day, and television accelerates that in a geometrical growth manner.

OK, here's something that I still haven't figured out after all these years: do the Japanese love yakuza or hate them? Do they fear them or welcome them? Revile them or idolize them? I just gotta know...

The Japanese hate the Yakuza yet they make shows about them as entertainment because it's been done before. Now because it's been done before they keep doing it even though they are all basically the same (Plot and acting skill wise)

I HATE JAPANESE MADE TV SHOWS !! Most are complete crap that you can actually predict what will happen next, I kid you not!

These days I watch only British TV (oh and ER on NHK) such as Top Gear, Never Mind the Buzzcocks (The ones before it went shite), Q.I., Little Britain, Bo in the USA and other classic comedy such as Alan Partridge. All I can say is thank God BB is now the norm.

Virtual alan, what is it with all these new presenters on Never Mind the Buzzcocks? When did Marc Lamar and Sean Hughes leave? I'm up to season 5 now which I've never seen since I was in Japan then (I came here 8 years ago today actually) and thankfully it's still good. Today I saw the classic Lemy episode. The other day I downloaded season 18 and what a load of shite it was! They didn't even do the quiz! At least The new Have I got news for you, is still good.
