What is it about japanese collectors...

I have some undumped stuff aswell that you cant find anywhere on the internets. I dumped them only for myself in case the original gets destroyed or whatever, and I understand people that don't want everything available for free at the next torrent site. Which is what happens with more and more games. The Value of the Item is much lower when everyone can get it like that.
Of course, It's bad for archiving and preservating. But well..

 

As long as you don't die or fuck up your backup, it's not bad for archiving.

 

Just make a will and donate the said items to charidy..

Well, my only suggestion would be to not believe everything you hear. Not just about this type of incident either.
