Hey, I was gonna go pick-up a Street Fighter game this weekend and I was wondering what was the difference between Super Street Fighter 4 and Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition. Are they exactly the same game considering they are both Super Street Fighter 4 except for the fact there is more content added on in the Arcade Edition? Or does the arcade edition feature only arcade characters and maps from the previous street fighters? Thanks
This might be slightly inaccurate. The Street Fighter 4 Upgrade Path is this : Street Fighter 4 > Super Street Fighter 4 > SF4 Arcade Edition > SF4 Arcade Edition 2012 > Ultra Street Fighter 4 So in that perspective. Arcade edition is Super Street Fighter 4 with an addition of 4 "new" characters. So Arcade Edition is newer. PS Ultra Street Fighter 4 is upcoming so you might wanna wait for it.
It's not just new characters, each version has re-balanced existing characters and changed up system mechanics a bit each time. But to the lay person, they are effectively the same game.
