Has anyone ever gotten this crap?

I posted something on craigslist and I get back moronic replies such as "What is the lowest price you'll sell it for?"

Yes, I'll be bending over and taking it. Don't try to meet me in the middle, just ask what my lowest is...and then try and talk me down.

Am I the only one who is totally fed up with selling anything to anyone. Can't anyone make an offer anymore?

I had that too, was trying to sell a external USB hard drive and got lots of whats the lowest you would take for it. I had a generic 'I am asking AUS$40 for it, I've refused all offers for AUS$35 or less, so it's likely I might want AUS$40 for it.'. I always got them to come around where I worked, so I could show it to them tested and you still get idiots saying 'oh it's so big / not really what I want / it's not really 200gb... so I'll give you AUS$30 (or less, one guy offered AUS$10 as 'that's what it's worth and I've come from miles again')', 'Thanks but no thanks, I showed a picture and gave you the full name and model of the drive so please don't insult my intelligence that you couldn't look it up on Google...', after 3 weeks of idiots, someone finally paid what I wanted for it.

I also hate this crap. I normally won't even answer such questions. Another one I hate is "Will you doa deal on it". Yeah right. If I wanted a deal I would say so in the sales post.

Also up there with these is (on eBay) "What's your buy it now price?" Umm, well I didn't list it with one, so surely that means I don't have a buy it now price??

Likewise to people asking the reserve. What purpose does that serve? Either you're going to bid seriously and find out whether you bid enough, or you're not! If you bid your limit and you haven't reached the reserve, what does it matter? You've not lost anything by trying.

With ebay and reserves i do kind of understant i wouldnt bid till the last 5-10mins. I hate to have to wait a week and make time to be there for the end of the auction without knowing if my bid will meet reserve.

I sold a Graphics card on ebay which originally when new came with a Tomb Raider games and i still had the game unopened so i included it.

After it was sold the buyer contacted me and thought he could ask me if i had any game(s) i could throw in free which i responded saying a brand new never opened copy of Tomb Raider Anniversary game that came with the card when i bought it ws included and that i had no games i'd give away free.

I haven't had too much trouble of this type mainly because I don't sell very much at all... But if I were getting lots of people like that I'd probably just reply saying "if you have to ask, you can't afford it."

A simple "What is the highest price you'll buy it for?" should sort any problem.

Some ebay user don't read auctions and can't take nmo for an answer.

Got an item on ebay in which i state that it comes with headphones (unused) and i still get an email asking if it comes with headphones and can he have the headphones on there own and i was offered £7 declined and said they are not for sale on there own and was then offered £8 for them.

I used to sell English computers in Japan but that was too much brain damage. People would look up the PC model on the internet, see it sells for $500, tell me shipping to Japan is "probably" $30, offer me $550....then explain that the extra $20 is "for my time." I just respond by telling them that I'll top their offer and buy the same PC from them for $575 if they can buy it, have it shipped to Japan, and deliver it to me. If it's such a good deal for me then it's even better for them...

Or they offer $200 for an $800 computer because....hey....ya never know unless you ask, right?
