I moved to Italy (from the SE England) almost five years ago... There are many reasons why, but this summer is a good example of one of them: We've had two days of 'light' rain in the last 12 weeks... Otherwise it's been baking hot and clear blue skies. To be fair, when it's an average of 35 degrees outside (it has gone up to 43 as well... a week or so ago) it isn't actually that good - because you can't do anything without breaking into a sweat... Still, better hot than cold!

Recently it's been odd. We had massive showers in what was ment to be summer (this was like May/early june though). Since then it's been fairly normal apart from a weird storm yesterday.

Hot sun one day, thunder and lightning storms the next, the usual.

I live in Napa (for now) and we are in a microclimate comparable to the Mediterranean. Leave the Valley and the weather changes quite a bit. Usually its fairly wet during the winters and 80-90F during the summer.

Lately it has been dry winters and cold summers which is highly unusual. The world is a changing and while it may not be universally global warming shit sure is happening.

So if I go wine tasting up there with some friends in November, I'll have a place to crash and play video games? :p

Ha, I would if I could but it isn't my place and there isn't any spare space. I'm moving up to Chico on Saturday where I'd definitely have spare space if you don't mind hitting a couch or sharing a room with guinea pigs.

Humid as fuck. I jogged 10k the other evening (started right before the sun went down). When I finished, I took off my Tshirt and rung it out. Had a nice puddle under me.

As much as I enjoy guinea pigs, I'm not sure what would bring me up to Chico. xD
