I have a friend trying to sell a "prototype" PS1.. However, I don't think that's the case.. It's after the 1st gen PS1, and there is some Japanese writing on it.. All the labels have been pulled off.. Say's he got it from Pizza Hut..

    That^
Either a kiosk unit(do those exists for PS1?) that was setup at a Pizza Hut so kids could play it or just a retail that they setup in a similar way.

Personally im more interested in that case in the background :3

Gonna agree here. Store display or Kiosk unit.

Though that case in back like fate6 mentioned does have me thinking. Can we see pics of that? If the unit itself was originally from that case then we could be working with a fun thing.

Have you tried burned discs? Have you tried official sony discs? Do you know it's region code?

Furthermore - it's likely an SCPH-5XX0 model given its back.

indeed kiosk units for ps1 exist. and i kind of have a feeling this is a dummy unit (no internals) or kiosk for pizza hut

That is the worst fake japanese ever. It's clearly written by someone copying off the internet.

Red ink also has negative connotations (superstition)

    Scam, don't buy it.
