I just want Puyo Puyo on FM Towns and MSX, not much to ask. I also want a complete Super Real Mahjong PII / PII for the FM Towns and Super Real Mahjong PV on the PC-FX without paying too much money for it.
Jamtex, since you seem to be into the FM Towns scene, do you know about some good hard and soft sources in or around tokyo?
Funnily enough, no. The best source of FM Towns (as well as MSX, PC-98, PC-88, X68000 and even FM-7, FM-8, Dos/V, PC-6001) stuff was Maxload (http://retropc.net/archives/2005/05/1.html) but that closed down in June 2005. Got the vast majority of my FM Towns stuff there and it wasn't cheap but cheaper then Ebay. Apart from finding the odd Hentai game mixed in with the other hentai games in some of the second hand hentai game stores, I've only ever seen two other FM Towns games, 1 in a Junk pile in Trader 2 (when they were on the 2nd floor next to the arcade rather then acorss the road under the bridge where they are now) it worked fine though and 1 in Super Potato mixed in with the other MSX / X68000 games but it was nothing of any importance. In my travels the only other places I found FM Towns games in is in Osaka, where one shop does have maybe as many as 5 games (!) all of them unplayable unless you can read Japanese and all of them expensive.
May not be anything super rare or super valuable, but I just want a complete Lunar Silver Star Story Complete for PS1. I just haven't stomached paying for it yet, but I used to rent this game so much when I was a kid, I have a lot of good memories of playing it. I did have the discs at one point but they were stolen. =(
i think "friends" (next door to g-front) had a couple of FMtowns games when i was there.. not sure which they were tho as im not into the console..
both are well worth getting - very cool to be able to play the CDRom games on the LT's screen with the "briefcase" CD unit :icon_bigg The DUO Monitor can be used with batteries, and along with the DUO battery pack hooked up to your DUO, you can have, of a sort, a portable CD PC Engine - till the batteries are sucked dry.... My holy grail(s) - FM Towns Marty, and a Magic Super Griffin backup unit
hmm ... its seems that my list is ever changing.. but currently stands at the following:- PS2 Tool PSX (the massive white PS2 based one sold in Japan, not the PS1 etc) GBA Micro (i know...) Games wise... Streets of Rage 2 on the MD, Perfect Dark on the N64.
My holy-grail ? I used to own it : A Commodore CDTV/CR. One of only six prototypes ever made. The sucessor of the CDTV that never saw the light of day... Since then: -to have a complete NUON collection ! DONE - 10 million Playstation (mint) - SCPH-1000 (mint/never used) - SCPH-10000 (mint/never used) DONE - Sealed copy of "Ridge Racer" (SLPS-00001) - all 10 demos from the 2000 Playstation - Festival nearly done !
Thunder Force 6 on the Dreamcast!!! The real one not the poor Broken Thunder... 3D adapter for the PC-FX but I pretty much got that with the PC-FXGA. Sabre
For me, a Navi TV Tuner and a few more sealed Marty/Towns games. Lots of peeps seem to want Marty / Towns stuff. Good work boys! There is no R-Type on Towns. Well I have spares of the 2 towns games you want. When they become available I'll pm you ok. @ Tatsujin..if I trim my pce stuff you will get a pm lol. Don't forget you can have a comfy sit down on the cushion too. I'm sure there's a way to rig a battery pack for it too if you were so inclined.
Right now, I really just want a copy of Banjo Kazooie with the box and instructions and a copy of Diddy Kong Racing with box and instructions... Those are my top gaming priorities right now!
i cant remember which floor it was but it was in the "misscelanious" shelf that has MSX etc.. ed; this was almost 6 months ago tho and it was only 2 or 3 games..
3DO is all over my mind for some years now,so i need some more games to complete my us/pal collection,a lot more for the jp one and ofcourse as a million more people want, the m2 proto consoles and a complete m2 dev...:-(
I have a boxed 1180, but they don't come up very often. Software for the dtl-h2700 is also high up on my want list. smf
Apart from this fairly crappy picture of the SD-21 monitor and a really awful close up of the unit with the SD-X5 TV tuner pack. (Which I also found a mention in a TV magazine review...) and various mentions of the SD-G5 game pack for it (which seems to play Sega SG-1000 games) and the SD-R5 RGB pack, what can you tell us about the Pioneer Seed?
Is this thing so rare? A friend of mine has one sitting in the attic, could probably get it off him for a few beers
