What kind of drugs have you tried in your life?

If you tried it at least once, no difference between medical and recreational purposes is made.

This is not a contest, I am just hoping to find out more about the popularity of these drugs in a fairly random sample, as I want to use an anonymous survey in a course assignment I have to do (there's a bigger survey, but this could support a minor point I want to make, and I think it's an interesting topic to discuss).

I resemble that remark. Being a type 1 diabetic on a pump and all...

I've done Marijuana and magic mushrooms. I don't any more. Been off them for 4 years and still going.

 

I don't hide the fact I was diagnosed with ADHD and have been prescribed various drugs over time to try out. You throw me into a history, psychology, sociology, anthropology class and I'll do very well without any additional help. You ask me to write out C++ or trig and I'm largely lost without it. Funny considering my strengths are with technology.

What I don't like is how prolific college campuses are with students who think that, despite absolutely no evidence for a diagnosis, decide they need the same drugs to get the basic shit done.

And yes, you're a drug user if you had a cup of coffee today, tossed back some aspirin, or used an inhaler. I'm so beyond sick of this "drugs are bad" mentality that I wanna choke a bitch. Yes I know that they're referring to "bad" drugs but that too is a misnomer of stabtacular proportions.

 

Drug themselves aren't bad, it's the use you make of it, you're reactions to them and the addictiveness that can be bad.

But you gotta admit drugs aren't needed and can be quite dangerous; a girl friend of mine died at 16 of an heroin overdose, it was a relapse. A tragedy too, by the way.

On a personal note, I used to do pot once in a while in my teens, but stopped cold turkey in university. This shit sucks all your motivation for days, and I couldn't afford not doing homeworks on weekends.

 

What makes these drugs worse than Beer or cigs? Sure the name heroin is scary but so is nicotine. I smoke , I drink , I sometimes use AAS , I have tried shrroms and acid in my high school days. For people to say some drugs are bad are completely wrong. All drugs are bad even shit the doctor prescribes.

I wish I could smoke a bowl sometimes instead of having a few beers but my company drug tests us all the time.

 

Heroin and meth largely have a higher addiction potential than alcohol but alcohol is so socially acceptable to consume it ends up being far more problematic for society at large. But because it's socially acceptable to drink the few people who are routine DUI offenders or alcoholics who beat their wives are viewed as the exception who are suffering from a disease beyond their control.

Where as drug users are just bad people.

 

All of them because I'm a funking idiot who wants to ruin his life. Drugs are bad for sure and should never be something you try because if your a weak minded fool you'll become addicted to them. I've seen a few people in my life die because of drugs. Keep away from all is my opinion. Well, a but of weed is Ok.

 

Used to smoke weed but i quit. Started when i was 13 and then quit when i was 17 (About 1-2 grams a day, I'm 22 now). I also did shrooms a few times during that time and percocet's. Now all i do is smoke cigarettes and drink a pot of coffee a day.

 

Weak minded people become addicted , trust me I loved Acid and shrooms but when it's time to grow up it's time to grow up and play video games again lol

 

I'm probably the only boring fellow here who has never tried anything. Never really saw the point of it all since I managed to get my buzz through productive hobbies like art and exercise. :shrug:

 

Nope, you're not the only goodie two shoes here. I spend a lot of time on my hobbies so drugs/alcohol never really interested me.

 

I have done marihuana canabis whatever you call it and I don't consider that one a drug, is a natural grown plant and not chemical created like the others . Taking apart the magic mushrooms those too are natural ground grown. I still smoke sometimes canabis and I'm not addicted, also I use it with a burner like incense.

 

I answered honestly, but the poll assumes everyone does drugs?

 

This thread is doomed for disaster, I think. It's not against the rules, I guess, but maybe it should be. I enjoy talking about this topic, but it doesn't really seem appropriate for a videogame forum.
