I picked this up off of Yahoo. The description didn't mention anything about the item, just shipping and payment info. Looks like it's a Saturn with some special docs, a sticker along the side, and a CD that I don't recognize. Also, check out the second picture....the cable tip on the top right hand corner of the picture. The top document appears to be referencing the Area Code which relates to the sticker on the console.
The CD is just a driver disk for a PC Motherboard - not related to the Saturn. As for the cable, it looks just like a regular Saturn cable - what makes you think it's special? Could you do a close up?
Isn't that an address checker on the right side of the system? - edit Thanks to NFG http://nfggames.com/grafx/saturnAC.htm
Japan-Games, congrats with the Address Checker. Got one in my collection: http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/showpost.php?p=179326&postcount=29 Region free (selector on the side that you can't see in the picture), but modchips are hard to install in these, so you would probably want the system discs to play prototypes/betas on it. Very nice catch! CF
Hey I did notice the area code sticker and saw the Japanese on the top of the document. I don't go bidding $8 on just a guess.
Ahh, the IS Address Checker. Let me know should you decide to sell it - I only have the original Sega one ;-)
