Aparently there is a samsung phone out in the uk in two months time that allows you to watch and record tv (you can record 10 mins worth) It will be on the vodafone 3g network, my 3g phone is utter rubbish for content the internet access is how should i put it "Garden wall"? It only lets you connect to the 3g site :smt017 There maybe a way of re-flashing the phone to allow net access though......im still investigating :smt023
Nothing to do with your phone. its 3s data service isnt running yet s no one no matter what phone will be able to reach the web from their phone.
last march ibought a nokia 3510i (when they came out) - sold it not long after as mobile phones literally give me headaches when i'm near them :'(
I have a SE T68 updated to T68i. It was quite cheap at the time by brasilian standarts, and it was cutting edge tecnology back them :smt043 I really liked the SE K700 from everything I read about it, but I don't know when it's gonna be released. It's funny how I despise everything Sony makes as a videogame producer, but I just love their cell phones
You know, all those NORMAL features unavailable anywhere but Japan like telepathic dialing, automatic stock market investing, and an included space raygun accessory.... :smt019 Well here's a pic of my model of phone, the Nokia 3585i. It apparently used to be the base model of phone sold through my provider, US Cellular, until something like 2 weeks after I bought it, after which the base model became the nice 3586 that Johnny has. I got it because I didn't want to have to deal with the assholes in our landline phone company. So as a phone, it works. As a cell phone... I'm very disappointed both in the model of phone itself and my provider. The phone, despite supporting an on-phone ringtone composer and WAP browsing, has modified firmware that leaves these options out - I'm lucky to have the dinky games on this thing. Plus the US Cellular network is completely incompatable with anything else out there, meaning that I can only download ringtones from US Cellular, which are all shitty mono and mostly crappy renditions of horrible pop or rap songs. Oh, and did I mention that the alpha tag option was locked too? Yeah, no customizing MY phone, I had to carry it around with "US Cellular" on it the whole time. I finally got a service rep to get the service programming code so I could change it, and while I THOUGHT I swiped my phone's code to allow me to change my alpha tag at will, I guessed the bastards changed it again, because it no longer works. Anyone know how to hack out a 8585i's service programming code? But as a simple phone, I guess thing's okay.
I have this: Its prepaid. I dont have any minutes left so I just use it to play games when I'm at work. I really dont need a cellphone but I bought it just for emergency use, hence its prepaid minutes so that I can use them anytime and not get charged up the ass.
I just found some interesting mobiles for those of you looking to upgrade! Take a look at these!! :smt023 The second one acts as a belt clip type phone (it has a slot up the middle) so you can half of the phone in your pocket and the front overhanging, this is a great idea for those of you who go to clubs as your phone cant slip out of your pocket!! :smt023
nokia 3650 got me the nokia 3650: supposedly it can play ngage games but i havent bothered.. has still/video camera, all types of apps (guitar tuner, IM, loads of games, Opera, GloBanner.. ) and i got a 128MB SD card for it, can fit around 2000 pix on it. its a little on the big side, but all the bells and whistles make up for it. oh and i have the Metroid intro theme for a ringtone :smt023
I guess no there's some phones in the west that compare to the Asian ones. This was my phone until about a week ago http://www.vodafone.jp/makersvoice/J-SH51/index.html MP3's, video, pics, email, net, MP3 (SD CARD), all that shit. I used almost none of it, and eventually dropped it on the concrete one day. All of my friends complained about the sound quality, so I picked up another. The phone above I got over a year ago for about 15,000 yen. http://www.vodafone.jp/japanese/products/kisyu/v301sh/index.html This is my current phone. Much less features, but gets the job done. I bought it last week for about 8,000 yen.
So damn cheap... sometimes i wish i could just buy one of those phones to have a play around with lol The nice screens and other thigns they got.
Yeah, they're pretty nice (and yes - cheap). Those prices were slightly discounted b/c I had been a J-Phone member for so long, but somewhere to the tune of a $40-$50 discount at most. I'm going to miss my cool phone that does way too much. The US ones look all ghetto -- at least the ones my friends use.
I wish I could afford a new phone like your's GaijinPunch :smt022 I'm stook with my 3 year old pile of crap. But hey, at least it only cost 250 yen :smt023 Yakumo
My wife looked at one of these....but they are so incredibly flimsy....that they would probably get squashed under the ton of crap that women keep in their bags......she got a Motorola V600 in stead. Yakumo but be worth a fortune by now :smt043 :smt043
