What Modchip code should I use?

So, I want to mod my PlayStation SCPH 5501 to play imports and backups. I read about how you can make your own modchip with a PIC chip but Im not sure what hex code to use.
I am looking for a hex that supports the most games. can anyone point me to a chip hex like stealth, mm3, etc..?

I would go with a mayumi v4. Its full stealth and has a better boot success rate than the MM3 (MultiMode3). MM3 is still pretty good if your not installing in a SCPH-101 but i do notice once in a while (Once out of maybe 20 boots) it will not boot a backup/import at start up.

 

Thank you for your help. although I have the mm3 and mayumi v4 hex it didn't come with any install diagrams. are they the same as the other diagrams

Every diagram for every hex are a little different.
