This can come from anything, released or not. For my post I decided to not go with the expected sense of amazement and instead this hilarious shot. In Sonic Unleashed, Sonic is captured and his powers sapped. If you bought the game you see this shot.

A prototype had this over the top face.

There is also down syndrome Sonic from a proto Sonic 3D Blast.

edit: Other than making you want to buy the game.

Chances are about the same as with Dinosaur Planet or Twelve Tales.

i shouldn't, really shouldn't but i DID laugh my rocks off at the second image of sonic, including proto 825, fantastic! :witless:
i DON'T care for political correctness (madness) nor am i poking at fun, just neutral laughter at the images...and the 'writ'.
    and @ HEX1GON.
quoting the line just makes it more internet property, can't see it meant in the context suspected.
after all, how many of us as users said the word 'retarded' in context NOT in ridicule to the unfortunate, but tools that put a biscuit in a dvd drawer..or ask what a rar archive is...that sort, who never study in advance and demand handout of guaranteed solution/explanation.)
    [edit]
    typo.

Maybe not exactly prototype material, but early development material nonetheless, was all the cut features from Grand Theft Auto III. I like how it was supposed to be more cartoony in the vein of the first two games with a ridiculous sense of humor instead of being a narrative driven vigilante simulator. Thankfully a dedicated group of modders are making something called the Alpha mod to give a general idea of what GTA III could have been like without the serious focus.

That wasn't calling names, what you said was idiotic and the previous wasn't even directed at you instead you stuck your beak in.

It offends people with the condition or people who have loved ones with that condition, don't be a dick.

I dunno if it counts, but I used to read the crap out of magazines back in the day, and a couple did stick out.

I didn't even play Oblivion for a long time, but this looks awesome

And this one is self explanatory.

not a prototype, but it was a PD game made for a specific magazine. (amiga one)
before bullfrog made their debut with syndicate. :eek:nthego:
it really is unpolished, and feels incomplete. (fun game if you can master the controls)
the mags are where it all started, didn't think it would be like it is today...

Game Informer was awesome. I too read it a lot. Forget exactly when my subscription ran up. Also StarCraft Ghost was actually featured on the cover of one GI. I remember seeing it and reading the preview article. I've never been a StarCraft guy, but I was immediately interested in that game. Shame it didn't see release. Wonder how much was completed.

Different strokes for different folks. I like the game. The tower sections are definitely fun, and there is good music. The village sections can get cumbersome. Maybe if *ahem* Reebok pumped more money/time into it and finished it off, it could have been a great game.
