I'll be honest that there are things there that don't make sense.

One thing that hasn't come up AT ALL is the black box. The recorders in planes that record EVERY single event in the plane up until the crash. I don't know if they mentioned they recorvered it from the crash. It should've survived.

 

Yeah, and the military is working on making a mechanical t-rex near alsaka, which could launch a nuke. :-D

 

I love conspiracy theories---especially when they're wrong. You guys realize the US is a country where the president can't even get a blow job w/o the whole world finding out, yet you think they can cover up a 757 (or not) exploding on the Pentagon lawn?

I have a friend in the military, who happens to be a diehard gamer. Was in the Pentagon when it hit with his 2 year old kid (yes, they have a nursery). Tends to verbally abuse people in threads like this, so I guess I shouldn't point it out to him.

 

Do it Gaijin Punch. Just do it so that they read it from an Eye-witness perspective.

 

Well, if he can tell us how the wings of the airplane apparently disappeared into thin air before they hit the building and thus didn't cause any damage or leave incriminating pieces of themselves then please, send him along.

Honestly, I really would like to hear from an eye witness.

My dad is in the military also, he's a col. in the airforce and just spent nine months of last year overseas. He's slated to ship out again after Christmas.

That flash movie looks like it was make by michael moores 6 year old son.....about as left wing conspiracy theorish as something of his as well. Btw...there were witnesses on 395 that saw the plane. The government would much rather us think that the terrorist could get a rocket as opposed to hijacking a loaded passenger plane. This is like saying the government would convince us that theres an ebola outbreak when it was really just the flu.

Yeah, I'd say that that's probably a wise choise - not that I'm against the idea of an eyewitness (although frankly, it's not a topic I'm really passionate about either way, so it wouldn't matter too much) but if someone's going to be an asshole because people have differing views on the cause of an event, that's really not ok.

 

I hope you don't mean me (being the asshole that is) becasue seriously, I really would like to hear an eyewitness account of what happened. Perhaps he can explain the anomolies presented to us.

The only thing I can think of is that the plane would have to hit at a near verticle angle so that the wings were sheared off but continued to travel foward with such momentum that they were obliterated on impact, but clearly the plane came in on a very low trajectory so that's not the case.

Maybe they removed the wreakage before footage could be taken of it, and so far have seen not to release it to the general public; I can understand this for national security reasons.

If he would like to comment then please allow him to do so.

handful of good reasons:

large jetliners maintain an airspeed of, at minimum, 400mph.. at those speeds you move between cells faster than the cells can hand you off (and indeed, with 2001-era analog cell towers, this was a problem even at freeway speeds, much less aircraft speeds)

also, airframes being largely made of metal, the plane itself acts as an RF shield and further blocks signal strength, making it even harder to make or maintain a connection. try turning on your cellphone for a few seconds next time you're in flight, and see if you can get a carrier at all.

being a tech hobbyist as i am, the "todd wheeler" calls (and by extension, the whole deal) were immediately fishy to me, right on 9/11, as I was already aware of the technical deficiencies of the contemporary cell technologies.

 

I made illegal phone calls ona jet liner before when traveling to Puerto Rico back in 2000.. Its illegal cuz they say you can screw up some stuff on the plane, which is in fact true if you use microwaves but I needed to call my dad to see what we were having for dinner when I got there cuz airline food is utter crap.

well the air companies have tested it the cell phone myth and it is a myth plus it is busted

they tested for higher frequenzies than cell phones and nothing happened.

the walkman/discman theory is a hoax too

but on a strange note a lovely female friend i was in lovewith (yeah she was not in love with me but she is a great friend) she did take a discman on board a plane and when she put the music on she could hear the pilots talking through her headphones and that is not a hoax at all

so my thought is that they don´t want you too use them on an airplane.

 

I took my walkman as a carryon and well they didn't let me use it until an hour into the flight and would let us know when we can use them and not. But we couldn't use cellphones.

 

I have some crappy-ass speakers here in the office, that pick up all kinds of shit. If you don't have good shielding, there's just not telling what you'll pick up -- which I assume is the issue at hand.

 

In thiory mobile phones can affect aircraft equipment, on older planes are more likely to surcome to it.
But because its possible they ban mobiles from the aircraft even if its just a small threat.



Getting back to the whole penagon thing - why blame it on a plane? because its harder to defend against rather then a truck/missile ect. In other words they would look stupid if it was known a terrist fired a missle at the bulding

 

Nor will they have to if the only evidence is the 5 frames of video Michale Moore's infant son edited.
