Have any Resident Evil Code Veronica prototypes surfaced? I've seen screenshots but I'm meaning someone actually has proof of a physical copy. Edited to get to the point. Code Veronica is my favorite of the RE series and I would love to acquire a prototype or sample of that game. I recall a prototype that was on eBay last year which I regretfully didn't pull the trigger on, I believe it was $300 but was advised it almost certainly final. So should have pulled the trigger on that. Does anyone recall what came of that, if anything. I've skimmed through search pages and have seen some really neat screenshots which got me curious. What RE CV prototypes have surfaced?
Basically this That or someone who does have possession of it for one reason or another has not shared that they have such. It's like how a sonic prototype can gauge a ton of attention on a whim. Same applies for resident evil. Imagine if RE0 for N64 got dropped out of nowhere.
I wish I knew who got the Resident Evil Code Veronica discs on eBay last year. Still kicking myself for not getting them even if it were to be just the final version. So there's been no proof of any CV betas aside from pictures and videos?
They were bought by a user on this forum (though I leave it to him to name himself if he desires), but it's really just the final USA version. I have a USA version review copy of RECVX (confirmed to be identical to retail) for the PS2. Not very interesting... I have never ever seen any other physical discs, or even a reference to anyone ever having had some or sold some, in all my years in searching for RE protos...
Thanks for the post! I'm purely asking out of curiosity and not to attempt a purchase. One day though I hope to snag a proto of RE even if it is retail.
