was just curious what is still even out there. I know someone here supposedly has the re 0 n64 rom not sure how true this is but im wondering are there any other protos that still could be out there? maybe re 2 for saturn or possibly claires mode for game.com its a shame no one thought to get a copy of 3.5 before it was scrapped. any info is appreciated
Saturn Resident Evil 2 isn't likely to ever surface, and even if it did, it's claimed to be so incomplete (I've seen 15% quoted in the past) that it wouldn't be worth getting except to perhaps see how the conversion effort compares with the PlayStation original, though in such an unfinished state it would be unfair to do so. By contrast, a later build of "1.5" for the PS may yet see the light of day, plus I'm in absolutely no doubt that the Nintendo 64 prototype of RE 0 is out there. Also, I suspect the reason nobody has so far come forward with a copy of the various "3.5" trade show discs is because Capcom either increased security by this point or is putting greater pressure on the owner(s) of such data to keep this private, just as they've done with the N64 code in a certain collector's hands. I'd personally like to believe that both halves of the earlier Beta 1 of RE 2 will finally appear one day along with Claire's side of Beta 2...
You seem convinced the N64 Resident Evil 0 beta exists - just curious but aside from messages/posts, have you seen proof this guy has it? You know, like a new video, etc. Just curious.
There was a bunch of discs sold end of July. Those discs definitely looked like review/preview discs (by the cases)! I say this because the handwriting on one of the cases definitely matched one of mine. One of the cases in question had RE2 written on it, two discs Claire/Leon. Unfortunately, I got there too late so someone else bought them. Would have released them as well but it seems it's now in the hands of a private collector. Who knows, could have been nothing, something or an already released build.
a later build of 1.5 would be awesome i would love to see how that would turn out, would be cool to see how much of 1.5 was mixed in with the final version. Do you think the 80% build is out there? i mean would seem so if 40 made it out. as for the n64 re 0 this is good i really want this to get out... i heard capcom issued a C&D on the person who owned it because they tried to release it before it came out. so i doubt they care if it was released now hell i would buy it if the price was right. maybe we could have it released same day as HD re 0 xD i would love to play re 2 saturn wish it would of come out but im happy with dreamcast version. far as 3.5 goes maybe some day we will see it, so basically re 0 n64 and a later build of re1.5 may be in collectors hands, sucks theres not much left in this series to be released.
whoa these are very cool ive never seen them before. Sample disks so are they playable on the consoles what do they show? that bio 3 is very cool too.
I have an Outbreak File 2 Public disc nearly identical to that. Except mine doesn't have a version number or the preview signature.

I cannot find the disc at the moment but I was told long ago it wouldn't go for much. This particular beta is available all over.

I wish someone would Release the Resident Evil "Maximum" Beta. That Version we saw in the MAXIMUM Magazine back in end of '95 or early '96. That Version have a lot of different things.
thanks for mentioning i read up on it some here http://www.unseen64.net/2008/04/11/resident-evil-1-concept-beta/ from what i read it there were some interesting differences looked cool, i love the alt tyrant in it im gonna look up more pics from that magazine, i think there is also a code veronica x proto out there too.
