    That pretty much sums it up right there. It wasn't about being the first to try things but about the extremely solid execution as a whole.

    My grandmother also gave me my SMS
    The first system I got myself was my SNES

    Not that that has anything to do with anything.

    are all AS people socially retarded ? or are we only screwing around GoH as usual ? Cause the last time I checked he was more of an ADHD person mixed up with some asshole(ish) personality. Cause I think all who has a brain would know, that the whole ADD ADHD and AS has come EXTREMELY popular diagnoses and the real ADD , ADHD and AS people are suffering when it comes to the "pop" people who has gotten that diagnose. And I personally think whether GoH has any kind of real/true diagnose or anything. Is still a very messed up person who every now and then says something true, even though he mostly rubs me the wrong way.

    One of these days WDK and GoH are going to get into an argument, and the forum will simply collapse under the strain of the raw incoherence.

    lol no to both of you, I am not going to mess with GoH in an argument and destroy the forum, or for that matter will him and I ever fall in love. And I have a girlfriend, who is a video game fan too. and shall we stay on topic instead of this shit ?

    Girlfriends that are imaginary and/or inflatable don't count.

    Anyway, the thread was pretty much over. Barc0de had it -
    SMB wasn't the first, but it's still an amazing game today, and I say that having not grown up with it (it was wall-to-wall Sega here). Nothing else prior to it is remembered because they aren't that amazing.

    The cartridge version of Excitebike doesn't save anything. The "save" function merely acts as an "undo" feature. Wrecking Crew, which came out roughly at the same time, has a similar level editor and phony "save" feature too. (I guess those might've been compatible with the Japan-only tape deck?)

    Now, ignoring disk based games (such as the FDS port of Excitebike), The Legend of Zelda is the game to actually credit for cart w/saving. As far as I know, that's the first game cartridge to've featured a proper save function (in the form of the glorious battery powered sram).

    Also, this is what I think Alchy meant to say;

    So you know eachother already? :dance:

    Carnivol: vær venlig at stoppe , jeg synes ikke længere det her er sjovt. Jeg har kæmpet mod dumheden i fem år, og hvor har det ført hen ? ingen, og jeg gentager, ingen steder. Fordi selv guderne kæmper forgæves imod dumhed. Og Carnivol, du forstår og ved hvorfor jeg skriver på dansk. Samt jeg beder dig venligst om at stoppe mens legen er god, i det du forstår det danske sprog, vil jeg bede dig på den mest venlig måde, at holde din næse uden om det her, fordi, jeg gider bare ikke længere den leg med hvor folk spørger mig om jeg er bøsse og insinuere det hele tiden. Så jeg beder alle som forstår mit danske om at holde næsen væk fra det her og den her sag.
