I'm not really "into" the dev scene, but being on ASSEMbler, you learn the terms whether you like it or not, and I know a lot of the terms and what they refer to. Chihiro, however, I've never heard of. So my question is, what the hell is Chihiro?
No wonder. I thought maybe it was a dev tool, seeing as this is the dev forum. Oh well. I'm not arcade savvy either.
Does anyone here actually have a Chihiro? I'm interested in seeing how similar the motherboard is to the xbox's.
Isn't every Chihiro game in some sort of huge ass specialized deluxe cabinet making it unpractical to buy a board? Or are you looking to get one of those huge ass cabinets? (oops, i guess i forgot the gun games...theres like 2 or three of those...so...i guess you could use those games in any ol' cabinet)
There's a Japan-only upgrade? We had a 4-player Outrun 2 setup in my local arcade but they replaced it with 2-player Outrun SE :crying: Stone
Last I heard Outrun 2 SP was released in Europe as well. I've seen pics of it in recent issues of Arcadia. Adds some new courses and new cars. Most intriguing course is the Yellowstone National Park-like track which lets you drive through giant Redwood trees (not unlike those seen in Cruisin USA)
Sort of. But the basic hardware/pcb is the same from a core standpoint. Pretty versatile setup...they have everything from the Maximum Tune games, to Crazy Taxi 3, to a Sega Golf game to some card-based war strategy sim.
