Just downloaded a movie of a japanese guy playing some kind of music arcade games, does anybody know what game this is ? Also damn that guy is insainly good at it :smt040 http://imgsrv.fun4fun.com/public_html/Binnes/12032004/videos/arcade.wmv
Thats game is so brilliant .. I've got the dreamcast version of it (including pop'n controller)... :smt033
You can't go wrong with Pop'n Music. I also have the DC versions with controller. I think part 4 was a bit weak. They're up to part 9 on the PS2 I belive. Yakumo
Heh, I also have the Dreamcast controller, but only Part 1, which is rather weak. Yeah, they are up to part 9 on the PS2, and I think 10 is out in arcades.... If you like this game, you should pick up a copy of Beatmania IIDX 6th Mix on PS2, that's really great. The controller is rather spendy, though, although in Japan it might be cheaper than the rape ~$100 it sells for on eBay and such.
Somebody should make a website with nothing but Japanese people (mainly the old men in the suits) playing the music games. Arcade staff usually get bitchy when you record inside their shops... I might nab some videos before I move, just for shits and giggles.
I made a video of my local Sega world once but had to do the whole thing in stelth mode because of the "No Videos" rule :smt011 I wonder if I should make another :smt040 Yakumo
Well, if you ever come to Tokyo before September, perhaps we could make one. Stealth mode is 100x easier w/ someone covering you. Check out the Psyvariar vid at Japanese Gaming... that's the downside of stealth mode. I wish Para Para was still around. That's the best for laughs.
Hehe i have no shame when it comes to playing para para paradise in the arcades. It's probably one of my all time favourite arcades. Sadly where i live they have no PPP machines & the nearest one to me is in london but i plan to have another session real soon. Nothing funnier than a 27 year old bloke shaking his booty in front of a group of bemused people :smt043 Heres a pic for anyone who dosent know what the machine looks like
I can honsetly say i've never played a music game... and probably never will. Just didn't get it. I have a friend that was good at DDR. She went to New York and said by the time she was done, everyone in the arcade was clapping for her.
