I can understand some of these lawsuits. Like survivors suing Swiss banks that held their accounts or suing companies they were forced to work for as slave laborers but this is bullshit. They are basically suing IBM for selling calculators to the Nazi's. Give me a break.

The same thing is happening in the US with regards to slavery. The bank JP Morgan was basically quilted not long ago into apologizing and starting a multimillion dollar scholarship fund because a bank that was bought by a bank that they bought the assets of once took slaves as collateral. That is like blaming ASSEMbler for Acclaim's shitty games because he bought some of their stuff at their auction. Should he have to apologize and pay back all the people who bought Turok 3?

Other people are calling for reparations to the descendants of slaves for their suffering. The reality is that a bunch of lazy bastards want a free handout.

(and I think Jasonkhowell has a point, of course it isn't justified to make such generalisations over an entire group or kill them because of that but they often they are not exactly the most law-abiding citizens)

 

I don't know... There are a lot of old ties between international businesses and the nazis, like people using American factories in germany as air raid shelters, becasue they knew the bombers wouldn't hit there. It's kind of wrong that none of these companies (Ford, GM, Dupont, etc.) were never held accountalbe for war profiteering.

This case does seem a little excessive though.
