This is hardly the first game where you kill OBL/Talebans/whoever. Going by the screenshots it looks like a surprisingly good conversion, I wonder how it looks in action.

So by that you mean every nation who lost nationals in the two world wars should stop any war games being produced. Get real Paulo, the world moves on.

Now I remember why I like www.lik-sang.com so much better than their competition. :Hangman:

What Does this have to do with any world war? This has to do with the way that the pictures of september the 11th were used in the game. Do you not care? Or is it the Anti-american in the British coming out again?

At the end of the day they shouldnt sell a game like that. Also its a pirate cart it makes them no better then everyone selling Prop arena on ebay... a game that was canceled by sega because of september the 11th!

    Have some respect...

ok guys. Keep it in prospective here. We want to discuses what is a pretty good looking Metal Slug clone. OK, the main plot ofthe game is going to raise some political points but as supersonic87 said "The world moves on" We all have our deepest condolences for the victims families and loved ones of the Twin towers incident just like of those killed in every other war or terrorist attack in the world.

Anyway, I'm interested in seeing this game in action. It's not everyday you see a Gameboy colour game with FMV or a Metal Slug clone.

    A thought...

Well, game boy color games with FMV aren't too uncommon, I have one...(Star Wars Episode 1 Racer) but unusually good conversions of Metal Slug are...

    Just to offer another perspective...

Am I the only one who thinks that that screenshot looks like a Neo Geo Screenshot gone blurry?

Well, there is one way to find out...any volunteers? I get paid on the fourth, maybe I'll give it a try...

Most odd indeed! If anyone is looking to get his copy dumped I'm willing to help (my SNES backup unit can also dump GB games) ;-)

A guy I know from another forum just ordered the game. I'll ask him to dump the game(though I doubt he's able to). Otherwise, I could do it...

I Swear I expected one of those screens to say
"Are you a bad enough dude to save the world and bring down Osama?"

  12. "America will punish Osama Bin Laden by law!" :smt043

Apparently law is now the act of bombing a nation back to the stone age for two years and never coming close to finding what the hell you're looking for. I think the developers of this game have "law" and "US foreign policy" mixed up... ;-) :smt043

Political quips aside, this certianly looks interesting. I'm excited to see how Marco, et al. handle terrorism in the.... uh.... JUNGLES... of Afghanistan. I'd spring for it if it were a GBA game, but I'm not much for putting money down on a pirate GBC cart. Still, if someone dumps it, I'd love to have a looksee at the rom just for laughs.

This just shows how you have no respect or knowledge about any country that is not yours. Even though they might not have the latest computers, videogames or whatever electronics you have (and some of them do have that, BTW), they had their homes, hospitals and religious buildings, and guess what? The US army destroyed lots of those when they invaded them. Not to mention the hundreds (thousands?) of killed civilians.

You might want to live the rest of your life in pain because of what happened in the WTC and that's fine by me, but don't minimize the loss of other people.

Sorry for the misunderstanding yceman. I wasn't trying to disrespect anyone...it didn't come across very well but I was saying that the coalition has built state of the art facillities in Afghanastan and Iraq for the people of those countries and they have better water treatment facilities now as well...I would never down an entire country only the terrorists themselves and the companies that profit in media (including gaming) off the misery of others.... sorry for not being more clear.

Please people stick to the topic, let's not make this a political issue.
Were talking about a metal slug clone not discussing the world politics.

I don't like the fact that someone used footage of the 9/11 incident to sell a game but I respect their right to do it. That's what having freedom is about. The ability to do what other people may disagree with. I don't think you understand Paulo the gravity of having a government. Any government crack down (I'm talking about freedom of expression not piracy) on something like this. It's the slippery slope that once you go down you can rarely go back up without having people fight and die to regain those rights.

The US didn't come close to bombing Afghanistan to the stoneage. That was the Soviets doing.

Civilian deaths are tragic but they're also accidents. The US military doesn’t intentionally target civilians. The US military if anything has shown restraint almost to a fault to prevent civilian casualties and also has the balls to admit when it screws up. If you want to see true targeting of civilians take a look at Israel or any other of the many hotspots around the world. It's the US that always gets fingered because we owe up to our mistakes.
