    Howsit?

It's a bit dry over here at the moment (RetroSwim and FireAza would concur) so I purchased a sprinkler, just a cheap one. It was a bitch to move around as it kept flipping over. I had a busted SNES case (yellowed and the top lip is chipped off) so I used that + spacer to make it more sturdy! Slides around nicely! The cutout for the AV/Power ports makes for a handy handle.

Why not use the whole case and have water come out the cart slot?

The top part of the case was smashed, this is actually a SFC, it was kindly delivered from Japan to Australia in a "padded bag".

The only parts salvageable was the board, the front trim plate and top plate. Both parts of the case were smashed, the bottom portion survived the best. I had considered to retro brite it but the upper lip was smashed off and the case had some nasty cracks in it.

I do have some spare SNES (PAL) cases laying around and it is tempting, but for now this will do. I am just glad it is a hell of a lot easier to drag around now without it flipping over. Our yard is pretty shit and so is the lawn. I am trying to make it grow because we are moving out of here within the next year.

While I do concur about it being hot and dry recently (I thought this was suppose to be spring!) I would normally not concur with hardware being used in such a manner instead of being repaired. However, you've got the type that yellows when exposed to air, these ones also become very brittle, so they're kinda beyond repair ;)

    Mm. It's pretty toasty.

What a novel idea! I always get cheesed off by poor design decisions like that. A sprinkler that isn't heavy enough to hold itself flat, why? A two-cent lump of metal in the base would solve it easily.

Come on China, I get that it's a 20c garden sprinkler but come on, "Think McFly, think!"
